The carpet in the corridor was badly stained and we opened the door to our room somewhat apprehensively. The room thankfully however was spotless and bed very comfortable. The shower was above average for a hotel but the plug for the wash basin was missing. The receptionist promised to look into this. The staff were lovely both on reception and in the restaurant but the menu was disappointing with the majority of items cooked in oil. The bottles of sauces could do to have the tops cleaned frequently- more eco friendly than individual sachets but unfortunately attractive to flying insects. Excellent bus service to the city from stops only 3 minutes walk away. Overall good value and we would probably stay again.
