Perfect for a larger group size.
We stayed in a king suite manor, with a separate living area that had a sofa bed. Very comfortable for 4 people. The location was right next to the Legislature building, yet pretty quite. A walk around the inner harbour was pleasant with holiday lights reflecting across the waters.

Parking tight but great stay and value
Really nice hotel situated in Downtown Victoria. Some of the decor is outdated but the charm and comfort is great. We had a great time. Just of note the parking spaces are very tight so if you have a large vehicle or even a mid-size SUV you will have issues getting out of your vehicle.

All the lovely touches... friendly, effective check-in, a great room upgrade, lovely room (clean and well maintained), super-clean pool.

So old
I stayed at this hotel when I was a kid, some 30 years ago. I like old Victorian charm, but this place needs work. Called to ask for a crib to be put in the room when it was ready, was told it wouldn't be a problem, but when we checked in at 9pm it wasn't there and we had to call and wait for one to be brought up. The heater turning on and off throughout the night woke myself, my hubby, and the kids nore than once. Not a restful nights sleep. The room service is non existant, you have to to to the lobby to order, so what's the point. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
