Lovely old Art Deco building Colse to the town center, friendly staff they do need to employ more cleaners our room was not ready and we had to wait an hour, couldn’t access our room till gone 4 pm as it was the hottest day of the year and we had driven up from Cornwall, and were travelling on to a concert in Southampton that evening This was a major pain

No air con or fans available. Very loud in the courtyard bar until 02:00am.

Brilliant weekend stay
The hotel was really clean and well presented. Our room was a deluxe king room and it was huge with enough space for everything we brought with us, the bed was massive. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The only thing that could improve the room might be extra fans or air conditioning in the summer months. It was at least 30 degrees all weekend when we stayed, which isn’t the fault of the hotel, but they had run out of fans and the room was extremely hot and sweaty

July break.
Stayed at the hotel for a 5 day family break our room 101 room was a little noisy due to the road outside and a delivery bay to the hotel. The hotel is a bit dated but we thought nice and grand and the staff were very good. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic each morning and better than the Marriott that we stayed in last year. Wi-fi and the bathroom showers were also first class as I’d the hotel location being close to the town centre, restaurants and gardens. We would definitely return again but ask if we could have a room overlooking the hotels gardens as this would be quiet.

reat place to stay
Staff very helpful and friendly. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on food. Nice hotel, if a little dated decor now. Bed really comfortable. Location great. Security great. Am going back. Thank you to everyone

comfortable room
The room was comfortable and quiet . The staff seemed stressed perhaps due to the current circumstances. The breakfast service was chaotic and poor quality.

Old and tired but great location
The breakfast has gone down hill - I had to remind staff four times of my order of poached eggs and 30 mins later only one turned up - the excuse was they were busy! The lifts are scary - old style and we sat in the lounge in the afternoon having a family afternoon tea because one guest wanted to watch football the staff member just put a large screen television on over our heads with no consideration on my elderly parents then not being able to hear - had to leave in the end as was not able to enjoy our time together.

Norfolk Royale Hotel
We have stayed at the Norfolk Royale on many occations and have always found the Staff to be so helpful and friendly , the rooms are always spotless. Breakfast is always enjoyable, and we had a lovely Evening meal, which we all enjoyed.
