Disappointing 4 star hotel with a 5 star price tag
4 star experience at 5 star price. For what we paid, (~$600 a night, with a ton of charges slapped on at the end, which we expected), the experience was utterly disappointing. You're probably better off staying at one of the many 4* hotels next door for $200; you'll get the same experience without the disappointment. Details: Disappointing interior; the hotel/contractor skimped on a lot of things (including cheap furnishing and chandelier straight from taobao); despite opening 1.5 years ago, carpet was already fading and fraying; shower knob fixture didn't stay in the same place so you couldn't set the water temperature right. Brunch at the place downstair was good. I've never seen a fake pool at a 5 star hotel (or any hotel); it looks nice on the photo, but is about 1 foot deep; plus side is your baby won't drown.

Just one night but it was fantastic! The property is beautiful and well maintained. Great location. Easy to Uber anywhere. The onsite bars and restaurants were great. The Pomegranate Fizz and cheese plate in the Pendry Bar at the lobby were delicious. Everywhere we went service was beyond my expectations. Room was spacious and clean. Sheets were nice, bed was firm, great lighting, shower had firm water pressure and really hot water. Felt very luxe and comfy…worth the pricePoint.

Fantastic stay!
We spent 3 nights to the Pendry with my family, and everything was perfect from the beginning. This hôtel is modern, beautiful, very well decorated, super clean. The staff is amazing ( thanks to Hans), very helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was great, the fitness center awesome, and the pool ( and the view !) was fantastic. An elevated Meh experience
A mid experience, for the price I was expecting a different level of consideration to detail. Small rooms are nicely appointed. Lobby is chic and concierge was pleasant. Made us a reservation for a great sushi meal. Thank you but I’d venture to try another boutique spot next time in LA
