FIRST OFF; is my mindset as a traveler so this has proper context. As a 51yo vacation traveler, I look for middle of the road because I do not plan on spending much time in the hotel anyway, I simply want a decent respectable place to fall over and recharge for the next days adventures.
Property was clean and well maintained.
Staff was really nice, always greeted with a smile and a "welcome back" whenever we returned from an excursion.
Yes, some of the interior and rooms are a little outdated, but they ARE putting in the work to update. We got a non updated room, and it was still more than adequate.
Views (north) from our 4th floor room were of Universal studios and resorts and Volcano Bay. South would be views of Icon parks Wheel and sky swings.
Location was great with Universal, Disney, and Seaworld within 10-15 minutes drive. Busch Gardens and Kennedy are close to an hour away as well. Icon park is within easy walking distance like 3 blocks away as are MANY good restaurants.
Other guests we ran into over our 3 night stay also seemed quite content and happy as well.
Breakfast was again adequate with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Cereal(2), toast(2), oatmeal(3), juices (3), yogurt, muffins(asstd), fruit(asstd), scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle makers, coffee, tea, and milk.
Wife and I will book here again when we come down to finish our coaster tour.
