in the process of being renovated so the restaurant was lovely and the lounge area tired. They need to sort out the lighting as doesn't add to the atmosphere our bedroom was far too bright. Staff were great worked hard and friendly. Dinner the second night was tasty and well presented first night ok. Once they have finished doing this Inn up added some finishing touches it will be lovely. Only gripe they allow dogs but no dog pooh bins in area !

Check was friendly, and service was great despite them being short staffed. Dinner was all good, but the ribeye steak was tough as boots. Besroom good and clean, bathroom newly renovated and very good. Breakfast all good, pleasant stay. Would go again if ever in the area.

Room fine with recently updated bathroom. TV had no reception on any channel. Hotel located at edge of town, within restricted speed zone but, as evidenced by the radar speed sign outside, most of it was speeding and very noisy so try to get a room away from the traffic. Communal rooms a bit chilly and although we ordered the crab bisque as a starter it never arrived.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is very well maintained. Dining was a joy - an excellent chef !!! Very good wine list. The reception staff took extra special care to make sure my stay and transport links went smoothly.

The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant - the calamari starter and venison burgers were delicious. We would definitely stay again if we were back in the area.

Hotel had no hot water for duration of stay. Numerous complaints to management made no difference. No apology! Bill wrong in restaurant! Overcharged by over £30 and no apology. Emailed owners to inform them of complaint and poor standard of stay. Surprise surprise no response or apology! Such a shame, nice historic coaching in, good food and pleasant surroundings let down by quite rudimentary things like hot water!!
