I stay in this hotel for 2 days with 2 separate bookings. On the second day, there was no replenishment of bottled water, facial paper, tea bags, coffee bags, shampoo, body wash whatever. I asked the reception and was told that it was the hotel's policy that there will not be replenishment for the second day stay. I then argued that my second day was under a separate booking and should be considered as a fresh day. The answer was he'll check to see if anything could be done. Nothing was heard nor done. This is the only hotel that I ever stayed had this policy. I really doubt if this hotel worth a second day stay.

Bad Start, Great Ending
We arrived in Cusco expecting our hotel shuttle service waiting for us at the airport. Since our flight was delayed, we called the hotel only to get an answering machine speaking in Spanish. We ended up taking a cab instead. It was uphill from there, literally and figuratively. Our check-in was seamless, our room was a bit small but comfortable. Though it lacked some of the basic toiletries you get from other hotels, they gladly gave it when requested. Oxygen amd coca tea were provided for free in the lobby as we experienced altitude sickness. Breakfast had a good selection and their concierge was very efficient. Special mention to Carlos of concierge who made us feel very welcome in Cusco and who I saw went out of his way to entertain a guest's child when the mother was not looking. He was making silly faces and jumping just to make the child smile, even if it made him look silly. He maintained a aura of respectability and was friendly to all guests. Karen, the waitress at the restaurant was very efficient and friendly too. Breakfast was served as early as 4:30 am to accommodate those going on tours to Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain and other places that kicked off early. Since we were fetched at 4:30am on 2 occasions, the retaurant was opened for us and they allowed us to eat earlier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Novotel-Cusco and highly recommend it to any traveller.

Good location - colonial vs dull rooms’s picture of the inside of the hotel was some how misleading as place is actually composed of an monastery style of hacienda and a new but dull 5 stories tower with no personality. Price we paid was unfortunately not for a room situated into the historic building... sad. Staff was kind enough to move us to the last floor. Everything went well but noise insulation is insufficient to keep noise from corridor (especially door handles!)
