A great stop for an overnight stay after hiking at Acadia. Clean and quiet with free parking and a well-attended to free breakfast. There was waffle makers, pre-made breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and more, which was such a value to us before we hit the road for a long day of driving.

10/10 Exceptional

The Hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms and common areas are clean and very attractive. The staff was very nice and helpful. They even offer a excellent hot soup at the lobby for guests in the afternoon, different each day. Coming from the cold outside and tired from driving and visiting Acadia, it was most welcomed. In summary, we had a great stay and I would come back to Black Beard the next time I visit Acadia.

8/10 Very good

The front desk employee was super enthusiastic and helpful when we checked in. She printed out a map for us and gave us recommendations. The breakfast hours and options were good. Even though the hotel was close to the freeway, I did not hear it in our room. The room was very clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable (we had the honeymoon suite). The room was woodsy-themed! Great place to stay, close to getting on the freeways.

Absolutely incredible experience! We traveled to Presque Isle for my son's football game and have always made the 5 and a half hour trip back, until this year, and we DO NOT regret it! The room was very clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable and clean, and there was room for all of us! Breakfast was to our liking, and supper was just down the road. Staff was helpful and delightful. We will be back in November!
