8/10 Very good

Good stay, but some notable drawbacks
Beautiful hotel, polite staff, and a great location! Only 2 complaints are 1. One of the two elevators was broken so it could take a little bit to get in and out of the hotel 2. The noise—everytime someone had a conversation in a neighboring room or hallway I could hear it pretty loudly—the door/wall insulation could use some serious improvements when it comes to soundproofing. I’ve stayed in cheaper motels with better sound insulation. 3. After staying I also noticed some bug bites which my doctor thinks are probably from bedbugs. 4. Showers were clean but spilled a lot of water and had low water pressure; I tried to leave towels on the floor to reduce water spillage but they should improve their shower design so it doesn’t spill out so much.
Now for the good stuff; chalk on the concrete ceiling was a fun touch, rooms seemed reasonably clean (aside from the potential bedbug problem). I like that they have solid flooring in the rooms so it’s harder for fleas, mites and bugs to burrow in (really good if you have allergies!). Front desk staff was professional, my room had a nice view of the parking lot and street next door along with some other buildings. Overall a pretty decent deal for $110/night. Definitely would consider staying again (depending on how many more weeks I have bed bug bites). Old dude in the elevator complained about the rooms being small but tbh they’re fine; I just need a clean safe space to sleep and for the most part Moxy met those needs!
