Pleasant stay
Having stayed here before a few years back, and having had a very pleasant stay back then, we booked The Kingsley again recently for a one-night stay. This is a very nice hotel - check-in was quick and staff very efficient- room was very spacious, bathroom had a very powerful shower with Rituals soaps etc, and bed very comfortable. Leisure facilities and pool are spotless and very well maintained. The little outdoor heated pool is excellent and is not to be missed. The buffet breakfast was below the standard of a 4 star hotel, cooked items were dried out and of poor quality and overall selection was not of the same standard as our last visit. We also had dinner in the Springboard Restaurant- again pleasant and very efficient staff but the portion sizes were on the small size and both our main courses were extremely salty (beef rib and steak). However we enjoyed our stay and the location of the hotel is excellent. The staff should also be commended for accommodating refugees.

Great choice for Cork
We had a really nice stay at the Kingsley. What a beautiful location on the River Lee. Friendly and very helpful front desk staff. The room was large and comfortable. Great breakfast. Ample and free parking. We also ate at one of the restaurants, which was great. Convenient location. We will stay here again the next time we are in Cork.

Pleasant stay in Cork Ireland
First impression was not so good. Ok, so we checked in and then found out way to the elevator. After reaching our floor, we walked down multiple hallways seemingly forever until we reached our room. The room was nice, but "that forever walk"! Not for us, plus my wife struggles with long distances due to a recent surgury. I called the front desk and they said they would check on another room and call back. After a short wait, they called and said someone would be up to escort us to another room. The replacment room was not as nice as the first one, but it was still very acceptable. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel for the most part, but I would not stay here again. The hotel seemed to be a better fit for business travelers, not for an older couple on vacation. Oh yeah, and that bit about the extra long walk to the room - if someone at the front desk had only told us there were multiple elevators we could have taken the correct lift which would have been close to the room. I guess I will ask next time.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff
Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff that couldn’t do enough with the exception of one waiter. The rooms are spotless and beds are comfy. Unfortunately we can’t to cut our stay short I explained to the receptionist who was happy to refund our last night but unfortunately I had to go through Expedia who I made the booking through (who were no help at all and pawned me off) thankfully the customer relations manager in the Kingsley took ownership and promised a refund he kept in contact and dealt with Expedia on our behalf I don’t remember his name (sorry) but thanks for all you did. I would highly recommend the Kingsley and would definitely return
