Sunworld Hotel Beijing Wangfujing, Beijing

Old hotel. Stayed only one night. Breakfast was OK.

Overall good, appreciate the air purifier in the room (and was running on check-in). Bed was extremely hard, but it was ok for a 2 night stay. finishings were rundown and a bit beat up in places (carpet, bathroom). Overall it was clean, staff were all very helpful, front desk and concierge staff all had good english skills.

The hotel was in a good location but reception spoke very little English and there was little English in room Bed was incredibly uncomfortable ended up sleeping on a pillow to ease pain Because of communication issue made getting directions very difficult The room was dirty Not been vacuumed and black mold in bathroom

I stayed here with friends for 1 night. Our check in was very slow and the front desk was not helpful at all. Our room was not clean at all. There was a layer of dust on the furniture and the carpets had not been vacuumed. The room was so hot in the night and we turned the temperature down but it didn't change anything. Bottled water was supposed to be free because you can't use the tap water. We called down for some and they said they would send some right up but it never arrived. We needed the find a subway and the front desk didn't know where it was. It turned out that it was 1 block from the hotel. The front desk was not helpful or knowledgeable about the area or city at all. I would never stay at this hotel again.

A dated 4 star hotel but everything was great. In a fantastic area for shopping, sight seeing, and close to underground subways, and buses. Everyone was very polite and very helpful, expecially the hotel guest manager Carol. Most stuff spoke enough English, especially Carol. What a great time to visit at Christmas as everywhere was decorated. The beds were a little too firm but after a day or so you get use to them. Beijing is a very , very large city, you won't be able to see all of it in one trip, plan on returning, it's a great place to visit.
