Love this hotel, but not so much this time
I travel to Winnipeg a few times a year and have enjoyed my stays here until this last time. I averaged 3 hours of sleep per night due to a loud banging just outside my room every 20 or so minutes (I don't believe this was another guest making the noise). In addition, I unplugged the mini fridge due to a humming noise it was making which led me to assume that it's on its last leg. Finally, though I enjoy firm mattresses, the bed was uncomfortably hard. Think I just got a bad room as all my my previous stays here have been great, but this experience was absolutely miserable. When I checked out, I wasn't asked how my stay was, so here it is.

Run Down Facilities
We were greeted by wonderful employees.Of course the facility is dated. We stayed in the suite which is a great size and comfortable, fairly clean( dust bunnies in the corner or the tub, never a sure sign of a through clean) The biggest disappointment was when arriving to the pool the hot tub was out of order, and with a huge snow storm about we were really looking forward to this. I would have liked to have been informed about this prior to check in for an opportunity to have a discount on our room. I literally would have stayed else where. The steam room maintenance was the red flag for no return. The light was burned out, and the room wreaked of mildew. No care. Facility run down. Eat elsewhere. The complimentary hot breakfast was greatly unappetizing. I did however enjoy the hot oatmeal. Unfortunate- really. It’s in such a convenient location.
