Never again.

Flooring in the rooms are the most recent updates to therooms. Would find better accommodations at a low rate motel. Staff was the only saving grace.

The AC hadn’t been switched over so it was extremely hot in the room, one room had all the electrical stuff dangling out of the wall and the thermostat was hanging off the wall, not very clean at ALL

Not worth it - even if rates are low!

This hotel needs major repairs. We were constantly in the lobby (along with other guests), trying to get our key card reset. They said they were having troubles, but I suspect it is because their system is old, and outdated. They told us we had to schedule service to clean our room, however no one came to service our room, even with scheduling it. There appears to be homeless folks staying in the parking lot in their cars/RVs. We were not aware of the homeless shelter program that was set up with this hotel and the city of Boise. It’s unclear if this program is still in place. This hotel is one to skip.

Graduation downer!!

This was quite perhaps the worst hotel experience of my 56 years living on earth. I cannot believe that red lion still has their name tied to this property. I am 6’ 2”, 240 pounds and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel in my life. I felt like we were lied too by this website in the sense that this property was rated as high as it was. What a complete joke. I will never stay at a red lion property ever again.

The staff was excellent and friendly. We stayed with multiple rooms. The other rooms were good but the one I had the door kept not letting us in and went down 5 times for being unable to enter. The toilet handle was broken, one of the beds slumped you to middle and the other creaked. The slider did not lock, tv had no volume, no chair with desk and chair to sit in was broken. The rooms were big and had great lay out. Solid doors and walls so it was quiet from people on both sides.

Good value but needs some maintenance

For the money, it was a good value overall. Somewhere online it indicated there was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They do not have a shuttle. It was a really nice hotel 30 or so years ago but it's age and deferred building maintenance is noticeable. The card swipe didn't initially work so we got different room. The elevator was also not working once we got up to our level. We had to use the stairs to go back down. They only left one caffine coffee K cup and one decaf in the room. The bed was clean and comfortable and the hot water and shower was great and plentiful.

Great location for your money

Very nice lobby. Fast desk check-in and helpful with info. I go on-foot, so being walking distance to downtown and the Greenbelt is a must. Great stay, so thank you, Red Lion!

You get what you pay for....

First the good: The room is a good size, the location is near downtown and the bed was comfortable. The bad: We paid extra for a premium room which included a balcony. The screen door was off the track and leaning against the wall outside with a big hole in it as if someone kicked it the screen. The dresser was dirty like someone spilled milk all over the front. I had wipes with me and cleaned it off. The bathroom light in the ceiling did not have a cover and showed a lot of dirt and disgusting crud. The pillows on the bed were really small so I asked the front desk for another pillow. They could not find any extra pillows. I tried calling the front desk at 8pm and no one would answer. I called again at 8:10pm, still no answer. My room was non-smoking but it smelled like smoke, so we kept the sliding glass door open (with no screen).

I would NOT go back.

The Good - Bathroom and beds were clean. Breakfast service with Lisa was excellent. The Bad - Hallway carpet was in terrible condition, dirty, torn, trip hazard, literally duck taped together, (2nd floor). Many of the room doors looked like they had been busted by police. Sliding glass door to balcony had no lock. Chair in room had stains and under cushion had piles of crumbs and cards. We had three rooms booked in our party. One family left immediately.

Room was dirty under the beds, under bathroom counter, closet door wouldn’t shut, slider door didn’t lock, built in the 1970s and has not been updated. All the doors looked like the police had busted them down. They could have filmed the Shining in this hotel.

We had alot of issues with dark brown water in sink and toilet, elevator shut down, bad tv,no phone to frt.desk,no heat, problem with extra blankets, no bath mat for old style tub, very slippery, no free breakfast as advertised, it's $10.It 3 rooms to get us settled, now the good, very good bed, staff was fantastic!! They are trying to make up for long over due maintenance and remodel . We are very easy going but this tested us on our get away trip. Not sure if we'll gamble on this location again but staff and location will weigh in on the next trip. Good luck and be patient if things aren't quite right at first, they will do they're best

Bed was extremely comfortable. Although I felt the rooms were clean they were shabby and especially the woodwork/doors. We weee on the top floor, got in very latw on night of checkin so slept in a bit. They was some horrible occasional noise around 8am that seemed to come above us/roof? Sounded like dragging furniture. It was very loud and disturbing until it completely stppped around 8:20/8:30. check in/out staff was very friendly and helpful
