Nice hotel with a couple of concerns
This hotel was very nice. Overall, it is clean and modern (but I have a couple complaints which I will share below). It is close to many attractions in the Hallandale Beach/Aventura area and excellently located between the exciting cities of Miami and Ft Lauderdale. The pool was nice. The fitness center was nice also, but could have used a couple of treadmills. My gripes are as follows: The paint in the bathroom was chipping, especially around the bathtub, which is unattractive to me. There was a crack in the toilet tank, which is also unattractive. These are not “deal breakers”, but this hotel was rated high when I booked it, and to have these flaws in the bathroom was unexpected. Impeccably clean and attractive bathrooms are important to me, and I was disappointed. Also (even though this is not a part of the hotel)… the only restaurant within walking distance of the hotel is Steak n Shake across the parking lot. That restaurant is filthy, and service is unacceptably slow.

Overall the stay was good. I was in town for a funeral so we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. The s staff was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was the small bed pillows.
