Almost perfect
I will say that we did enjoy our stay. The staff were nice, the room was fine and the food was good. The beach was fantastic. Warm water, very close and the best sunsets. It would have been nice to have chairs and shade at the beach and the smart tv did not work. We did notify the front desk but never had it fixed.

This was my second stay at the BW Jaco Beach this year. The hotel overall for its category provides good value. The staff is extremely committed to making your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. I appreciated all the activities they had planned for during the Fifa World Cup matches The restaurant offered different options on a daily basis, and there were good options for vegetarians/vegans and non-picky eaters in general. There are two possible experiences when staying at this hotel. I stayed back in February on building A (rooms with balconies) where the rooms are sound-proof and the quality of sleep is quite decent. The A/C is modern and quiet. The other one is when staying on Building B (rooms w/o balcony, standard). The experience here was completely the opposite. The windows are the exact same from when I came here as a child in the 90's. No sound proofing. Hence, the bass/noise from the disco/bar comes into the room and does not let you sleep if you have a light sleep. I had to request a room change due to the noise concern, as I was not willing to wait until 1am for the vibration from the music to be over. Marlen at the front desk very digilently and kindly helped making this happening. The new pool was a great addition, it offers more options and a more laid back environment. My only recommendations for the hotel management is to consider options to enhance the sleeping experience for guests staying at rooms on building B facing the pool side.

Did not look at all like the pictures. Property was neglected and looked abandoned. Grass dead, beach full of debris, lobby and Hoth towers under construction so everything was roped off, only 1 restaurant and 1 bar open. Looked like an abandoned hotel from 60’s.
