Por alguna situación tuve un cargo inesperado en el hotel. Resulta que el hotel indicó que le habían reservado para dos infantes (menor a 3 años), pero en mi reservación había aclarado que eran dos niños, una de 3 años y otra de 6 años. En definitiva, tuve que pagar unos 105 dólares adicionales por mi niña de 6 años cuando lo había indicado en la reservación. Ellos me pidieron una evidencia de que yo habia colocado la información correcta, pero en la factura que me comparten en Hotels.com esa información no se verifica. Necesito tener una explicación sobre que aconteció con la reserva, ya que había colocado la información de la edad de mis hijas correctamente, pero el resort no lo tenia correcto. Tuve que pagar 105 dólares adicionales.

First room i had - TV didnt work - asked them to check it - took 24 hours and 5 times asking at the reception till they told me it is not repairable and the offered another room. The second room had water dripping from the ceiling in the middle of the room, as well as under the air conditioner outlet, in the bath room over the sink and water came out somewhere around the toilet bowl. With all this dripping the smell in the room was terrible.

Horrible service and property

We stayed at the lifestyle tropical resort from 25 Jan to 8 Feb. We arrived to the resort and We were given a room that was unacceptable. These are the reasons it was unacceptable: no shower door, shower glass cracked, shower control broken, bug in the bathroom, bathroom not clean, couch broke when I sat on it, the room not clean, tv outdated with no option for streaming, extremely dusty, very noisy surroundings, and no WiFi. I reported the issues the same night and I was told to return in the morning. I contacted hotels.com and they assisted. The next day I was told I would get another room and I explained I wasn’t going to get a room on the same level because I would check out. We were given a new room up to the standards of daily living. Then I was told the WiFi wasn’t available because the technician was working on it. After a day or so, we were locked out of our room. I reported to the customer service desk and there was no reason why our keys didn’t work. Next the WiFi was available for purchase but it wasn’t explained that it will only work for one device for the price. And you cannot share as a hotspot. This wasn’t explained early on or in the description online. Therefore it wasn’t available as described. Then we were locked out of the room again the next week and we were told it was because someone programmed the key wrong. Throughout the stay there was very little hot water in the shower and at times the water was shut off. The service was horrible. Do not stay!

had us in a crappy room that leaked water and was not cleaned before entering. After 3 days and my friend leaving a review on her account, since we had 2 rooms, they called and offered to move her. We had already complained about the water and leaking roof but nothing happened. Only after the Expedia review. They moved both of us to a better room. That clearly they don’t give Expedia customers the option of. This room had a broke glass sliding door but was an upgrade. They offer a lot of pools but we weren’t allowed to use them since we didn’t have the expensive non Expedia wrist band. We had 3 smaller pools in our area that were fine but 2 were adults only. This place advertised as family friendly and did not mention the adult only issues. They allow have really good sit down restaurants but the system is flawed. You need to go at 9am to book dinner but it is already booked up. It wasn’t until I asked to speak with a manager, that they attempted to help us. They called the reservation section at the restaurant and got us in for 3 different night in our 7 night stay. I was grateful but when I got to the restaurant they didn’t have the info on the sheet. we needed to explain and get help. They were very rude and unhelpful. Once we sat the food was good. Lastly, the drinks., they only offered BACANAL liquor. Which does not taste good. We did find a few locations that had good stuff. Nothing was relaxing or easy it was an battle just to get the basic treatment. Will not return

Finding best resortin Puerto Plata took me a while because I had heard mixed reviews about resorts in the area. However, staying at Tropical Beach Resort completely changed my perspective—it was absolutely amazing, and I truly loved every moment of my stay! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was quick and seamless, setting the tone for a great experience. Our room was comfortable and charming, even though it had an older style—it didn’t bother us at all because everything else was perfect! On our first day, Saturday, we dined at Casa Blanca Buffet, and it was a fantastic introduction to authentic Dominican cuisine. The food was delicious, with so many local flavors, and the coffee was incredible, made in an old-fashioned way that I absolutely loved. The decor and atmosphere were spot on, creating a warm and inviting experience. One of the best perks of staying at this resort was access to the other hotels in the complex via a convenient shuttle service. We visited The Pearl Restaurant, and I was truly impressed! While they had fewer menu options, the quality of the food was outstanding—definitely worth trying. The night shows were another highlight of our stay. The entertainment team was fun, engaging, and full of energy, making the nights so enjoyable. Every performance was well done, and we looked forward to them every evening. We had such an incredible experience that we decided to have our wedding at the resort! That’s how much we fell in love there.
