Pandemic impacted
Trip was canceled due to pandemic. Tourism from the US was sketchy at the time we canceled. We followed Hotels.com’s guidance but ended up getting charged for this stay. It was a non-refundable that we made several months before the pandemic occurred. Hotels.com has not followed up as promised so I cannot say if the hotel refused to give a refund or the company failed. As of now I can only go by what I know. I prepaid for a night that I did not get to enjoy.

Friendly & Welcoming Spot in the Heart of the City
we came for the Christmas Markets and this was the perfect place for that! Very well priced, comfortable and a great location. We loved the easy access to walk to the markets, great restaurants and the subway. Having a printed list of all the markets and a map was a great touch from the hotel staff! Also loved the gummy bears on the pillows.

Location was good with a reasonable walk to areas of interest. Parking was a bit difficult and the room decor was a bit dated. Hallways were very bland, but the hotel was overall clean.

TLDR - we would definitely book this hotel again when visiting Munich. The room is very large - it had two built-in bench couches and still had plenty of room to walk around the two double beds. The location is also ideal because it was on the tram route coming from the airport/train station and a 10 min walk to the beer halls and tourist attractions in the town center - meaning it was close enough to feel like part of the city but just far enough away to be quieter at night. Our hair dryer didn't really work - the overheating trigger would shut it off within 45 seconds of use, but in honesty I never told the hotel so they may have been able to supply an additional one. Lastly the hotel staff was very helpful - I needed to find routes that had elevator access at all entrance and exits for the subway and he helped me plot a special route to achieve that.

Good fit for us
This hotel worked well for us. Pretty standard European hotel, though the bathroom was quite large. The one thing I would criticize was the bed. It was not very comfortable, but not horrible. This certainly isn't luxury accommodations but it was very clean and quiet in a good location.

Clean and in a good location
The hotel was in a good location and we were able to find street parking for only €4 per day. It was pricey for the hotel considering other towns and what you can get, but for Munich it was good. Beds were a little stiff and pillows weren’t amazing, but all in all it was good and clean.

Great location. I think in this day and age, a hotel at this price-point should have air conditioning. Our room did not.

Not fabulous but very adequate
Fabulous is a bit overstated for this hotel. The best hing about it is the location, which is in a quiet residential part of Munich that is still near the center. Very adequate grocery, cafe, restaurant and transportation options close by. The hotel itself could use some upgrading. It's telling that their photo shows a vending machine! The decor is not attractive, the halls were very hot and stuffy, and the worst part was the elevator which was located up a flight of steps from the entrance (we had heavy suitcases). We did not try the breakfast because we like just a coffee and pastry (used two of the nearby cafes), but the breakfast looked nice enough, although not included in the price. Given the slightly shabby character of the hotel, I would rate it very good for general purposes but no rave. Should add that our bathroom was very nice and almost as big as the room. Oh yes, we found extra electrical outlets INSIDE the lower shelves of the night-tables the day we were leaving. Could have used these earlier.

Close to castle
The front desk staff were helpful. We stopped by to park before walking to castle and into town. The room was clean and spacious for a night after sightseeing. We felt safe and comfortable.
