Great location , awesome and very helpful staff. We spent New Years at this property and it was a perfect location to spend a few days in Singapore

Beautiful hotel with a great view of the bay. Mattresses are a bit old. Close to many touristy places. Overall, a wonderful stay and would stay here again.

We only stayed over night. However in the morning the concierge couldn't be more helpful. They transferred our luggage to our next hotel free of charge, as we were staying elsewhere with friends. Personally walked us to the local shopping centre which was next door, very convenient.

Singularly unimpressed with Singapore Mandarin Ori
I was upgraded to a suite so this should have been a wonderful stay. However, the suite had very small single beds rather than the king size bed I had booked. Some hotels have larger than single beds in twin bedded rooms. The absurdly small beds looked (and were) ridiculous in a huge suite. I arrived late - near midnight - so wanted to sleep. Bedside table in between the 2 single beds had a phone, a box of tissues, 2 glasses and two small bottles of water. There was no room for anything else. The light switches were hidden behind the things on the table. They were very poorly marked and had bizarre functionality. You had to use the master switch to turn all the lights off. If you went to the bathroom or elsewhere you would have to switch the master - and all lights - back on as the master switch overrides the control on all other lights. Many hotels allow you a one switch off, but then the ability to turn on individually. Finally, I found the room very hot and the bed too small to get a decent night of sleep. On entering the suite I checked the air con was set at 21. However, in the morning I found that the bedroom was set at 25.5. That is way too warm for nearly all people. The last straw was jack hammers above my room from 9am I would advise giving the Singapore Mandarin Oriental a miss until they finish any upgrading they are doing and the buy decent sized single beds.
