Clean, comfortable, quiet, and well-located. My interior room was very quiet - the window opened on an air shaft, but that was fine with me. No traffic noise at all. This is very basic, but well done. I enjoyed it..

This is a nice place for an overnight stay. It is located in a mostly residential area, but it is noisy in the morning. Also, finding parking can be tricky if you have a car.

Sweet deal
Comfortable bed, perfect location - I really got to feel like I lived in the city during my stay. In my room there was no mini-fridge, which is my one small criticism, but otherwise I had a great stay!

A Gem in San Francisco
The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast had more selection than I expected. The room was comfortable and I had a great night's sleep with the feathertop on the bed. The location is central to transportation and restaurants and shopping within a few blocks. There were only three other guests at the time I was there (not sure how many rooms there are as I was on the main floor) and the Inn is very quiet.

Grove Inn - would stay again
Staff was very helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Hotel Location was great! 1 block from Alamo Square Park (awesome view of the city) & Painted Ladies houses. Easy busing (right on bus #22 line & 2 blocks from #5 line) very secure hotel & nice neighborhood. Excellent seafood (mom & pop) restaurant across the street.

Poor
The place smell like old urine the carpet smell bad from the front door all the way to the room I’m was disgusted to see that they have a rate of 8.8 On our arrival we were told that our room was being repaired and the receptionist was sorry and ask us to go for a walk and comeback in 2 hours that really made me angry we supposed to check in a day before but missed our flight in NY and we turned out one after and this man has the gut to excused for the inconveniences that the room as to be fixed , also the lady who was there as a receptionist or housekeeper her name is Anna she’s rude, racist and unprofessional she has no respect for their customers, doesn’t greet people and when addressing to you she doesn’t even the politeness to look at you, the bed linen are badly were off not iron look like it came out of the mouth of pigs , their breakfast it disgusting cheapest food that I cannot even feed my pet. Expedia you need to check out all the place and accommodations that you have in contract before advertising on your website. I felt like you rubbed my money . The place need a renovation specially the flooring, there were no fridge in the room, the kettle it so small like a toy can only give one mug of tea at a time, no sink within the toilet you have to come out to the corridor to wash your hands . Big shame for you Expedia and the accommodation
