    Good location, good staff

    Overall all a great place to stay. Location feels quiet but very close to underground and restaurants. Staff was super helpful. Only complaint is our air conditioning wasnt working properly.

    Don't forget to get your Oyster card to travel around London. Hotel is pretty central in an old part of The City. Bed was very comfortable, lots of big towels, slippers, robes, dangerously HOT water temperature in the shower. If getting there via the London Underground, don't get off at Barbican station -- no escalators/ elevators -- just miles of stairs! People were very friendly.

    Decent stay in a modern hotel in London

    Great modern hotel which is a bit harder to find in London where the hotels tend to be more rustic or old fashioned Pretty clean rooms. Just a bit of dust and crumbs here and there but only if I am being picky The room had a very strong smell of aftershave or like a canned deodorant smell that didn't smell very unpleasant but it reminded me of a locker room or in a club. The service was good but felt a bit fake and not super genuine. Just a bit of a strange vibe. Not extremely personable or friendly but not bad either. Just a bit awkward personalities/ and do not expect them to go above and beyond in terms of hospitality The room was very modern and beautiful. The showers, bed and furnishings were gorgeous. The view is not the greatest. My room's window faced a big building with construction The toiletries were fantastic and high quality. And the furniture in the room was again beautiful. The hallways were a bit old and had a musty smell however not horrible However good value. If you want a relatively clean and modern room. What really stuck out were the decor and design in room All in all very good room, ok service but not top of the line

    Attentive, kind staff.

    My husband was due to have a heart op at St Bart’s so we needed to be handy. It was close so perfect. It didn’t go quite as planned but the hotel was helpful and the staff kind. The room was clean but the furniture was mismatched and tired. Room service was good but the food was not as hot as we would prefer.

    Under staff?

    I waited more than 15 mins in the lobby in evening time . Tried to call hotel in front of reception but the ring rang in front of me . None of other way to reach to the employee. As claimed as 4 stars it is ridiculous.. I almost left to live to other place. When the staff finally came , he was friendly. My room has a hint of urinate smell despite I cleaned the toilet throughout the space. I can only guess it is the smell from drainage. Other than this, the space is good . Just I am not sure I will book again ..
