A must stay.
A hotel with character and a great staff. It has soul, unlike the larger hotels in the area. The parking was a pain, but that is my only complaint. It is an older hotel, this shows in its character. The staff is amazing. I spent 8 days and would not hesitating staying a second time.

Nice, Except For The Extra Fees...
Cute place. Rooms we're clean and the staff was very nice. I wasn't impressed with their extra 25.00 "amenities" fee that they charge because I booked online... They also have a crib rental fee of 40.00 which is silly. The staff was awesome though and they didn't end up charging me for the crib which was nice.

Decent stay
Centrally located to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Valet service was efficient and front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff was sporadic (sometimes cleaned rooms by noon, other times not till 3pm). We had 2 rooms for 2 nights followed by another 4 nights after we returned from north shore. Breakfast was decent (cereal, toast, croissants and waffles).

I recommend if you're in Waikiki.
Hotel was great, breakfast was OK, room apart from little stains in the shower and bathroom trash not fully emptied, everything was perfect! I recommend.

Not worth the money
Unexpected resort fee and parking fee. Employees did not care. There was a manager there when we checked out when I complained about the extra fees. He didn't say anything to us. The room was old, dirty, small with extra loud air conditioner. We weren't expecting anything special we just wanted a clean room for the night. We couldn't get out fast enough. The neighbouring building in the morning had a yellow tarp, police everywhere then they were washing blood off the sidewalk. Not sure if that's unusual or an indication of an unsafe area. For the price we ended up paying which was over $300 Canadian for the night it was definitely not worth it.
