-the pool area and kids rec room.was great -felt the rooms were a bit basic for price point -because it is not near town, not a lot of options for food especially breakfast options -loved the manta ray viewing

Room was clean very late in the day. On two days we were back from our outing and the room was not clean. Supplies we not supplied. Had to call for soap, toilet paper, and shampoo, on more than once. Mouth wash was only replaced once. Based on Sheraton's room price, guest should not have to call the front desk and ask for supplies. Poor grading on this one.

Great place some things needed to be corrected...

The site is amazing. You need to book ocean view !! The bar tender , room maids and the reception are great. For the rest it was less than ok..ie; there were full of tables available at the restaurant and 30 /45 minutes waiting time. .. for no reason...? I needed to managed my luggages by myself when i declined the valet parking... they were there looking at me. They sold us a trip to see Menta Ray that started from Kona when there was trip starting from the park beside the hotel for a cheaper price !!!?? BTW...THE SITE TO SEE THE RAY IS 200 feet from the hotel ... so instead of boat ride of 2 minutes we had a car ride of 1/2 hour to go and 1/2 hour to get back, plus a boat ride of 1 hour to go and 1 hour to comeback !!! Btw, we saw no Ray because of the waives ... they should have cancel the trip before leaving the port !!! Not very honest 250us$ for two !!!

    One night was enough

Great pools and a nice view. Room musty smelling and in need of a refresh Not sound proof - could hear much too much of the Luau in our room Charged for pool towel (??) seems a bit ghetto in a $400+ a night hotel Unusual in that self parking was not included in the resort fee. Felt like gauging at every turn for minimal benefits outside the pool environment. I did like the midcentury vibes in the design but definitely time for a refresh. One night stay only. Emailed a complaint and received no response. Will not be back.

Old Resort. Needs lots of upgrades. We had lounge access and that was way below standard as well. Food not good enough and just old cutlery and utensils. Staff was great though. All through out the property the staff is great. It is just the Resort itself that is the problem.

    Good location, family orientated hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, locate don waterfront where manta rays feed at night (can see them from the main restaurant, Rays on the Bay), and only 12 - 15 minute drive from downtown Kailua-Kona. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility overall is a bit run-down and needs a total upgrade, but functions and is still a nice place. Large pools for the family, adults and kids. Liked that the main shop (with groceries, coffee-shop) is open 6:00am to 12 midnight.

There were ants in the bathroom, I had to pay $20/day for parking, I had to pay $30 for a resort charge when i was only rhere for one night. The room was older, there were crumbs on the floor when I arrived. Room condition would have been more suitable for one third of the final price.

Get new staff that understands customer service

Great resort. Staff at front desk was what made this a poor experience. Every opportunity they had to make up for a dropped ball, was worst than the previous dropped ball
