Definitely needs upgrades

The girl who checked me in i cannot remember her name unfortunately, but she was great!! But....the door to our room wad very old chipped paint dirty i didn't even want to touch it. The suite was nice, chipped paint on the bathroom door and kind of dirty but we wipe everything down ourselves before we unpack. The carpet on the patio old and ripped up, definitely not a good look! We found 2 roaches one in bathroom and one in kitchen disgusting!! I immediately took my bags to the car, im not with that at all, but whos going to change rooms if thy offered for a 2 night stay. The towels looked old and dingy grey, thy can really use some bleach. The toilet ran the whole time, and it was loud but we are not really the type to complain and it was only 2 days so we just lived with it didn't even call. The view from the patio was great, seeing the beach gowers from sunup was really nice. The several different pools, and hot tubs were great!! I loved the lazy river, the water was so warm. Overall good stay i just cant do roaches and i dont like old dirty looking stuff.

WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

The condo itself was outdated. Beds were hard, floors and showers/baths were dirty! Kept finding old food on the floor that didn’t belong to us. Got sick from all the mold and moisture in the room. Microwave wouldn’t open (it hit the wall). Refrigerator would barely stay closed and burner on top of stove was 1/2 way off. Pools were also dirty, way over crowded and full of chlorine. Very disappointing.

It was a last minute and decision to stay at the Dunes Desert. Easy process overall, room was big enough to move around, keep stuff etc. The best part was the balcony with ocean view. However, the floor inside was felt sticky to walk on and kitchen was not a good part at all. First, it was right at the entrance so opening and closing the door was an issue, 2ndly it was right across the washroom so if someone was using wwashroom, kitchen couldn't be used andd vice versa. 3rdly there was a water leak from the tub on to the floor which the maintenance tried fixing. It was overall OK.

Awesome Resort!

We had a fantastic stay at The Dunes Resort! The amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast and restaurant dining. The ocean view was breathtaking, and the beach was clean and well-maintained. While our hotel room showed a bit of wear, it’s understandable given its oceanfront location—guests likely leave the doors open, leading to natural weathering. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway!

Needs some updates, but over all not bad!

Ability to get carts to carry stuff to your room is very hard to do. The rooms could also be slightly updated, however they were clean. Hallways and other areas could use a good scrub. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything outside. My child loves staying for the water park! Easy access to the beach and a cute little outside play area for kids as well. We will definitely be back.

Don't expect quiet.

It was unusually noisy at the hotel. Late in the evening and early in the it was so noisy you can't sleep. There seemed to be a lot of families with children. The floor in our room (511) wasn't level. From the entrance way it dropped off a couple of inches to the sleeping area and living room. The room was large and I didn't feel cramped. The view of the ocean was great and we liked the balcony. There seemed to be a lot of amenities like water parks, but I didn't have time to try them. I probably won't stay here again, but it might be a good place for families with young children. It's not a good place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.

The amenities were great, rooms were comfortable. However our room smelled stale and musty. The flooring was old and somewhat damaging. But it looks like they are remodeling the building. Our kids loved it overall!
