Fair4.0
disappointed
my partner arrived before me and wasn't allowed into the room. with some lame excuses. The room was ultimately too small and, the equivalent of a motel room... for a over $500/night!!!

It was the first time at the Benjamin. We particularly appreciate the restaurant, the National, that is associated with the hotel and the fact that it is centrally located.

An oasis in NYC
I love The Benjamin Hotel! The staff is amazing - very welcoming and attentive. The hotel is well located for shopping, and walking. My room was beautifully appointed, - tasteful, and elegant but peaceful. I loved the kitchen, comfortable furniture, bed, pillows, linens, towels, ammenities, etc. are high quality. After a long day of meetings, and dinners, etc. - I always look forward to returning to The Benjamin for a relaxing evening, and good night's sleep! The home made granola with greek yogurt and fresh berries with great coffee is a nice way to start my day too!

Terrible, never again!
This was the worst hotel stay I can remember and I travel for work so I travel often. 3 main issues 1) free wifi, yet I was charged $15 "by accident" 2) $15 mini bar tab, yet i never walked in the kitchen area let alone eat/drink anything was charged "by accident" 3) and the biggest reason for this review, I was told to call downstairs 20-30min prior for valet ($65 charge) to bring your vehicle around. I call at 9:50, go downstairs 10:15am they told me not there yet, I walk around the corner to eat breakfast/coffee. I go back 10:40 no car yet, 11:40 no car yet, 12:30 now 2.5 hours!! Still no car and no one has any idea how much longer, another couple was extremely upset as they were there as well waiting 2+ hours and missed their kids softball game. I completely missed my meeting as I didnt think it would take 3 hours to get my car from valet (The lot is a couple blocks away!) I ended up waiting a little over 3, THREE hours for valet to bring my car. And not even like the hotel was busy, I was the first vehicle, the softball family was the 2nd, we were in the lobby all morning. Never again, TERRIBLE!
