remember, when in Malta...
There is no parking in this city. Make sure you know this: many hotels say, there is "street parking", or "parking nearby". While technically true, you will NOT find parking available. One would normally be able to find paid parking, at least: absolutely not. Now, the hotel is great, good firm mattrass, comfortable room temperature. About the breakfast: it's not buffet. THUS, you will find yourself first waiting to be let into the dining room, as it can accommodate about 20 people at a time, then you will wait for your order. Overall, I spent an hour there, and I ate my French toast in 5 minutes, bc I eat fast. Just so you know. Also, I spent 1.5h driving around in 34 C heat, looking for parking. I had given up and was driving to the Excelsior hotel the one that has it, without booking it bc don't trust anything re: parking here, ask at the hotel, anyway, I had mentally given up my reservation at the Gomerino, money loss and all, when I miraculously saw ONE parking spot. Had I been driving anything other than a Micra car, it would have been too small. But this way, I counted my lucky stars to be able to park, and drag my suitcase for 1km through the 34 C heat through the cobblestone streets. Thank God. (thank God I'm not elderly).

Very good city centre hotel
Excellent location in Valletta Centre; a comfortable boutique-style hotel. Good facilities - having two pools was a bonus. Food and drinks were also good, and the serving staff were friendly and attentive. One area for improvement is the front-desk staff, who seemed (at times) to be overwhelmed with requests and struggled to handle them. We also had made a specific anniversary request weeks in advance, and this was half done on arrival. When we enquired at reception they admitted their oversight and promised it would be done on the day of our anniversary, but sadly wasn’t. This didn’t hinder our stay overall but would have been a welcome bonus and made our stay extra special.
