Great location for universities; very walkable
Perfect location for a conference at John Moores University and University of Liverpool; you'll never need a taxi, you can walk everywhere including to the train station. Rooms are lovely and large, but lack of A/C means having to leave the windows open, and that's noisy. And no elevator, which can make carrying your bags and even going in and out a bit of a challenge.

Property condition does not match the amount you charge, reasonable room rate should be 50 pounds or less regardless of the season. I felt even shy to bring over my friends....what is portrayed on the website/adverts is quite different from the reality...its too much to charge 101 pounds per night...I was really shocked when I arrived at the hotel and you were very clever to ask me to pay upfront for the 7 nights..otherwise I would have moved immediately.....IN SHORT, THE HOTEL CONDITION DID NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS...TOO OLD INSIDE NEEDS REFURBISHMENT....OUTSIDE IT IS UNDERSTANDABLE LIKE MANY OTHER HOTELS IN EUROPIAN COUNTRIES..IMPROVE PLEASE

Good hotel
Just an overnight stay as I was going to a concert at The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, because there is no late night transport I would rather stay overnight in a hotel and travel refreshed in the morning.

Some good , some not so much
Good location, smooth if a little offhand on check in. No lift so if you struggle with stairs, this hotel is not for you.we were 60 plus ladies and were roomed right at the top of the building, and it was very difficult carrying our bags up the narrow, steep staircases. Decor needs brightening, don’t care too much for dark brown and mustard colour walls, has a dowdy feel to it. Room very clean having said all that. The bathroom would’ve got full marks apart from the fact that we couldn’t get in to the shower as the water was scalding hot and could not be regulated. There were no signs near the basin taps to warn you of the extremely hot water.cold water pressure non existent. This is an honest review, I am reluctant to give a bad review as I think it’s important to mention the positives. The night staff were pleasant as was a young guy who came to serve us at the bar and one of the reception staff was very pleasant, the other not so much.the location is great, short walk downhill into the thick of Liverpool city centre, bars and cafes in abundance, along with some great shops and fabulously friendly people. Probably wouldn’t return to this hotel as it is but who knows, maybe this constructive critique will help to improve things in time.
