Best pillows ever! Jacuzzi and in-room breakfast.
Absolutely fantastic stay. A completely private romantic getaway. Felt like we owned the place. Great location.

A relaxing quick Valentine get away. David recommended a great local restaraunt for dinner and his breakfast was awesome.

Live (Uncomfortably) Like Victorians in the 1900s
Our stay at this B&B was generally unpleasant. There is an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew throughout. We were in the "Edwards" room: the mattress was terrible (like sleeping directly on a box spring) and the bed frame rattled and squeaked with every movement; no top sheet on the bed and the duvet too hot to sleep under and no alternatives provided, so had to sleep in clothes; there was no shower, but a large jacuzzi tub bizarrely set right in a bay window overlooking the street, very awkward to use and obviously no privacy but to pull curtains around; no exhaust fan in the tiny toilet cubicle with obvious unpleasant consequences; wash basin in the main room, so no privacy and poor lighting for shaving etc; drug deals being done out on the street at 3:00am (windows had to be open because too hot and smell in room). The breakfast was good (not great), but had to be taken in your room and eaten on shaky TV tables. The woman who greeted us was very pleasant, but there were no other opportunities for conversations with staff or other guests. Location is excellent, but very poor value at this price compared to much nicer hotels nearby.

charmer in Victoria
Well you have to like chitnz to like this place like stepping back in time. Greeted on arrival and given a rundown of the place we were shown to the "gazebo" room. Lovely in its Victorian charm, large whirlpool tub, four poster and a large spotless room. Breakfast is available by choice the night before and delivered to the room to enjoy on a private breakfast table. Very close to the centre of town and all attractions, loved the place, will return for a longer stay next time
