The property was well maintained and the staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. The rooms could do with an update to make it more modern and an actual spa space (as opposed to using an empty room) as well as onsite gym would also help modernize this property. Overall it was a nice place to stay and its proximity to town made exploring different food options easy, as long as you were willing to make the hike back up the steep hill to get back!

The staff were all very friendly, most especially the front desk girls. It sits on top of the hill so when walking onto town it’s a nice downhill stroll but a good workout going back up.

This hotel is a classic. The best thing by far is the kind and gracious customer service. The staff really go above and beyond.

The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there (had no idea when booking was made that this was to happen), pool was empty(no water-under repair) these 2 issues were a bit of an inconvenience but not a spoiler. Room was very comfortable and pleasant. hotel is situated close to the mayan ruins so was pleased with that. staff was friendly and courteous and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. their concierge was knowledgable and helpful in helping with our excursions.

We just got back from Belize where we spent 6 days in San Ignacio and 6 days in San Pedro. Our stay at San Ignacio Resort Hotel was so great in so many ways, but I have to say they have the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever come across. Not to mention that the hotel is beautiful and well maintained, and in a central location where you can walk into town in 5 minutes, as well as to Cahal Pech. Don't miss out on a medicinal walk and visit to the iguana nursery right on the grounds of the hotel, as well as the fantastic bird watching from the restaurant patio. We learned so much during our stay I'm afraid I'm not going to retain it all! If I go back to San Ignacio, and I hope I do, I would stay here again most definitely!

We stayed here for 6 days and used the hotel as a home base for day trips to Tikal, Caracol, Xunantunich, a visit to the zoo, cave tubing and zip lining. It was a great location, within walking distance of the most popular restaurants so we could have an easy dinner after an exhausting day out. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish the hotel had a lounge area that was air conditioned, as the only place we could go to cool off was the room itself - not ideal. But that's a small nit in an otherwise very good hotel. If you go, do the iguana project tour, and do the first tour of the day; when we went it was just my the two of us and the tour guide, so we got a lot of personal attention from all the iguanas and the guide.

This is the most amazing hotel stay I have ever had. What made it particularly wonderful were the lovely staff that worked at this hotel. Everyone tried to remember your name and call you by it, they were more than happy to go out of their way to make something work for you. We were travelling with three people in a 2 double bed room, and when we arrived in our room we saw that they had set up a third single bed for us as well, at no charge, which was veerrry comfortable. The tour guides that we had went above and beyond, were very knowledgeable, and eager to share their knowledge. Particularly, Ted the tour guide, Leo the front desk man, and Jason the evening restaurant server were amazing, and gave us such time, attention, and personalized service, that I would go back even if the hotel was a dump. But even the hotel grounds were beautiful. Set on 10 acres (I believe), they had a medicine trail, and an iguana conservation project that you could take a tour of for a small fee. Our stay here was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat.
