Inconvenient location without a car. Lighting dim
Hotel OK but I had problems. 1. Lighting too dim, switches very confusing as 2 to 3 switches per light around the room. Bed lamp bulb burnt out and a replacement promised for next day but when I left two days later they still were not replaced. Even desk lamp was low. 2. People need to be aware how far out of the City Centre it is if you don't have a vehicle. I would not have chosen this hotel had I known. Over an hour on the bus and a ten minute walk to the nearest bus stop, and over 20 euros one way for a taxi. It really exists for bus tours--perfect for that. 3. I was not impressed when my keycard was deactivated on my second night's stay after a tiring day in the city centre with the walks (in the rain with an injured leg) to and from the bus and the 75 minute bus ride each way. Very frustrated. However, the room I was given was very comfy and convenient for me, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and patient--bouquets to them.

I wouldn’t go there again...but not bad as a group of friends. Family?—not so much...

LiffeyValley Stay
It was a major walk to get from reception to our room - that included bringing our luggage from the car through main reception and on that lengthy hike to get to the room. No other access other than the Main Entrance!

Traveling in Dublin
We arrived right as Coronavirus was hitting. Unfortunately, the pool's hotel wasn't working. It would have been nice if they had let us know that before we arrived. That was part of the reason that we had booked Clayton Liffey Valley. They did give us vouchers, but we didn't want to leave the hotel once we got there. The service was EXCELLENT! They really went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable.

Happy Family
Family trip, 2 adults and a 7 year old. Had booked a family room upgraded very kindly to a suite with 2 rooms. Great location for an overnight stay in Dublin.

lovely hotel, just not where I thought it was.
Hotel, staff etc on the hotel was absolutely brilliant, but when booking hotel it said it was 2miles from abbotstown, but it wasn’t it was a lot further away than it said, 15mins drive, slightly disappointed with this as I needed to be closer to there. Also the main reason I booked the hotel was for the swimming pool with my daughter but this was closed & we hadn’t been told prior to going. But as I said the hotel, staff & everything in the hotel was lovely, couldn’t fault it.

Hard Luck, No Pool
I looked at this hotel & it offered better leisure facilities than my current, usual hotel in Dublin. After a hard days work & going for a run all I wanted was to soak in the pool etc, when I got to the pool I was informed that it was closed & would be for at least 3 weeks. There was no mention of this on their website. I complained & they said they would amend their website which was no good to me. Today 7th March I looked on their website, still no mention of the pool closure, pulling the wool over peoples eyes.

Very disappointed
Sauna didn’t work, the main reason why I choose this hotel! queues to steam room and jacuzzi, no chance get to swimming pool, long lessons. Hot flashing water in the toilet- was totally nonsense room 631, dangerous and very bad smell, after compline was changed for 531. Customers must to be warned in advance of problems; if this is not possible, then make a discount! I was very upset to pay the full amount for what I did not receive a especially it was my birthday 😒

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clayton. Check in que was very long but that was to be expected during mid term break. Our rooms were not ready at 4pm was dissatisfied with this fact but Tammy the receptionist was very accomadating and provided us with adjoining rooms. We were pleased with this. Although my sister in her room had difficulties regarding calls from the manager about our rooms... the food was very good. My children really enjoyed the pool. The room was very comfortable. The house keeping staff were very friendly & helpful.
