The online check-in system was a total nightmare. I spent HOURS trying to get it to work. It was one thing after another. Apparently the system doesn't work with Google. I switched to Chrome, then the system wanted to take a pic of me with my phone, but the codes it was texting never came through. Emails back and forth with tech support basically said "You have to check in, we have no way around that." Eventually I called tech support and they found a new way to get my phone to work with the system, but then it wouldn't take my pic, kept telling me to turn my head different ways and that there were two people in the picture (there weren't). On and on... After 30 minutes on the phone with tech support, I was finally checked in.
Then I arrived and the apartment was fine, other than (a) I was on the 3rd floor, my floor was the ceiling of a sports bar, and my first night there was the night the Phillies won the NLDS. I could not *believe* how loud it was in my bedroom. (b) With about 40 feet of blank wall space in the bathroom (it's a pretty big bathroom), the light switch turned out to be behind the one tiny towel rack, with a towel hanging over it. The first night, before I showered, I got light in the bathroom by moving a lamp from the bedroom into the bathroom b/c I couldn't find the switch. And (c) the view out all my apartment's windows was of an enormous rusty A/C unit.
It was a business trip, the biggest issue was that the check-in process was beyond terrible.
