Small room hotel
The Celestine Tokyo Shiba hotel is located somewhat far from the many touristy areas yet reachable by metro and other modes of transportation. Its rooms are incredibly small with two people needing to constantly move around in the room to be able to reach for anything. The majority of the room is taken by the bed with the few remaining spaces taken by a small table, chair and suitcases. The bathroom is comparably small. One person would have to “hit” another by the door if both attempt to use any of the facilities. The surface areas in the bathroom are limited for storing any items making it inconvenient for guests. The breakfast has very limited options especially healthy types as well as for people with various diets. The hotel has two restaurants but one of them is in the lobby that looks like a lobby bar with limited food and drink options and another is a converted breakfast room. Both are on the first floor. The hotel has a nice lounge on the 14th floor that complements very tiny rooms available to the guests yet its gym is very small in size barely fitting six pieces of equipment (three of which are only in use) and a few additional areas for stretching and other exercise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price we paid doesn’t reflect the amenities offered and the rooms are overpriced. We don’t plan to return unless changes are made.
