4/10 Fair

Unfortunately, would not recommend
We stayed here 4 years ago for a family trip and remember our experience fondly. Going back this time around we had that expectation, but when we arrived we sadly did not receive the same level of service. The state of the place is in serious need of renovations. There was several renovations going on throughout our stay, but none that made the place look any better. We also were disappointed with the service. In one occasion while dining at the restaurant, it took 30 minutes and being asked what we ordered 3 times to get our drinks. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food with 0 communication from our waiter. I will say the food was really good. There wasn’t really anything that I tried that I didn’t like. Overall the stay was ok, but we were very disappointed with the service we received and the state of the hotel for the price that we paid.

6/10 Good

We stayed here only because there was no availability at Gaviana. There was hair on the pillows, a slight smell on the sheets and brown smear on the bathroom walls. It felt dirty. The AC was good, access to the beach was also good but it’s definitely not the best looking beachfront. I asked for help to print out our COVID certificates and the front desk directed me to their “business area”. There was one room with a very outdated computer. The keys didn’t match and it was merely impossible to punch in the correct letters and numbers I needed to gain access to my email. The one person in the business office with the door labeled “photographer” had no interest in helping me and directed me back to the front desk. When it came to finally printing the certificate, the printer was disconnected and again no help fixing it. I also experienced a fiasco trying to order breakfast at the bar and when I canceled it, the bartender told me that the bar area is completely separate from the restaurant which is why it was so difficult for me to get my coffee and oatmeal. Pretty pathetic excuse. I’ll never stay here again. My experience at Gaviana was night and day to this place. Never giving this place my business again.

2/10 Poor

Our room was dirty when we checked-in. It was not the room we requested. We requested a 2 queen junior suite and got a 1 keen and pull-out sofa bed. The pull-out sofa bed was filthy, stains all over and not linens nor pillows.

10/10 Exceptional

The property was in a great location close to shopping, restaurants and activities. The hotel was very clean and the employees were very friendly. Always willing to help or assist you if needed. The pools were great, my children enjoyed the kid pool very much. The food in their restaurant was excellent as well.
