Where is the love
Pros: 1. The hotel boasts an excellent location. 2. Beds are comfortable. 3. Most of the staff are courteous and helpful. Cons: Considering the hotel claims to be a 4-star establishment and charges over $450 USD per night, the following drawbacks were quite surprising: 1. The room appears hastily done, almost as if the renovations were rushed in a matter of minutes. Evidence of this includes layering a new carpet over an old one and leaving holes from previous screws and visible screws scattered around. 2. The light switches in the room are non-functional. 3. The "BYO" (Bring Your Own) policy is baffling: While they provide a coffee machine, there's no coffee. And if you're fortunate, you might find two wrapped plastic glasses for the duration of your stay. Oh.. and no tissues 4. The lobby might look inviting, but don't expect any doorman assistance. And if it's raining, you can ask for an umbrella, but only if you guarantee its return – presumably because of cost-saving measures. 5. Signs of cutting corners are everywhere: The previous "Renaissance" logos have been shoddily covered with stickers, and they haven't even bothered to conceal the wires from the old TV sets. 6. They knocked on your door at 9am on a Sunday to ask when you are going to get out… In conclusion, while I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, the lack of attention to detail and care at this hotel was strikingly evident. It seems more like a missed opportunity than an establishment tha

Great central location. Hotel is a bit shabby, could do with a refurb, but we had a very spacious and comfortable room and the staff were all very helpful, especially our cleaner-one of us was unwell and she worked cleaning our room round this.

Stale Pastries Was Served, Not Good!
The reception at sign-in was pleasant but we found room 1611 unremarkable. It had only the basics but nothing extra. WI-FI was very weak and almost unusable. I did use your concession in the morning which served teas and pastries. No coffee. Ordinarily, this would have been a good gesture,the management disrespected us with day-old, stale pastries that were hardly edible. I do believe that it was common practice because it was the same three mornings in a row. I registered this with the receptionist who politely acknowledged my complaint. If this is common practice at this hotel, it shows a disregard for the customer and I will no longer patronize this hotel. I would rather not be offered anything then be insulted with food not fit to eat. Please check this out.
