About Executive Hotel Cosmopolitan Toronto, Toronto

The Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel and Spa is located at the corner of King and Young streets in the financial district in Toronto, Canada. Opened in 2005, the 27-story hotel prides itself on being an independent hotel based on the design direction of natural-medicine/spiritual consultant Sylvia Noble.

Hotel Features.
The hotel's on-site restaurant, Wildfire Steakhouse features a wine bar. A free deluxe continental breakfast is available each morning. The Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel and Spa presents 3 smartly designed boardrooms for business needs. For a full-service spa experience, the SpaZen offers 500 sq feet (46 sq meters) of treatment space above Brazilian oak deck floors. To assist travelers during their stay, concierges, called "Lifestyle Managers," are available 24 hours a day. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. This is a smoke-free property; fines apply for violations.

The Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel and Spa's 69 guestrooms continue Sylvia Noble's feng shui vision by positioning floor-to-ceiling windows that radiate "light" energy. Deep brown and slate guestroom decor serve to ground this energy and soft blue accents calm the energy. Each floor features just 5 suites, named with a single word, one through five. At the center of each guestroom is a 7-foot serenity fountain made of jade, slate-colored bamboo, and cherry wood. Each night, guests return to turndown service with a gemstone left in lieu of chocolate, soothing cosmopolitan mood-music, and incense. In the bathroom, the Zen story continues with Gemstone Essence toiletries that aim to capture the positive energy generated by these semi-precious stones. As an added comfort, guestrooms feature 400-thread-count Egyptian linens on sleekly designed beds. Balconies supply guests with sweeping views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto city skyline. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available.

The hotel was nice and the room was very large. I was very unhappy with check in. I had an issue with my credit card because there was a hold on it from my trip to New york which was where I was flying in from. My room was already paid for and I said they could use my debit card to hold the 100.00 they wanted to hold on the credit card. They said no and wanted me to get $400 cash to hold as a deposit saying something about mini bar - which my room did not have. When I said that might be difficult she offered to find me another room at another hotel. I had already paid for my room upon booking. I found her very unfriendly and unhelpful. I had to try and find a bank to get the money in the cold after travelling in from the USA. Other than that my stay was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff in the restaurant in the morning were very nice.

Gem of a hotel
Location is fabulous-right off Yonge on a quiet street with little to no traffic. We had a beautiful view of the CN tour from our room and were very pleased with the amenities provided. Staff at the restaurant were cheerful and pleasant and everyone we encountered at the front desk was amazing. The only thing I'd complain about was the pillows-I definitely expected this hotel to have higher quality pillows..but other than that, nothing but great things to say about this hotel!

Good Value for the Money
I had forgotten that I booked a room with a separate bedroom area so I was pleasantly surprised to get there. I liked having all the space. I would have preferred more comfortable seating in the living area as it was two boxy chairs. A little couch would have been nicer as we did watch some TV. The only other thing was there was no hot water in the morning. It was warm but I like my shower hot! The staff were very friendly and polite. The continental breakfast hit the spot as well and saved going out to buy breakfast in the area.
