Ok if you are on a budget
Pretty rough part of town, but the hotel is OK. Office staff are friendly. Not many restaurants around so if you are on foot, you'll have to walk a ways to get to one. Oracle Park is walking distance though. Tough to find a good breakfast in the morning.

Close to downtown
Good Location . Quiet . Friendly Staff . Close to market street

Poor 2.0
Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed a IN MY LIFE. The whole room smelled like smoke even though they claim to be a smoke free environment. The towels had stains and so did the sheets. The beds were horrible quality and the staff has literally no customer service experience at all. I talked to the ‘general manager’ and when I was trying to express my concern she continued to talk OVER ME and didn’t listen to a word I said. This whole place needs to be shit down completely. Not to mention that there was no parking at all and when I walked out of the room there were two homeless men sitting outside the door. Completely unacceptable.

Great Motel with parking next to Airport Highway
Arrived late in the evening due to heavy traffic on the Airport Freeway but the young man at reception was great! Comments made about the lack of onsite parking is true, especially as the locals love their massive pick-up trucks taking up tight little spaces. But overall a great place just off the Airport Highway and ten minutes walk from Westfield and downtown. Do avoid walking down 6th Street if possible (use 5th Street) as we were followed by homeless people. Generally safe-ish at daytime but avoid 6th street at nights. San Francisco's homeless problem is really bad across the city - despite the number of people out and about wearing "Community Agent" sweatshirt uniforms.
