Great quick stay for work

For a one night stay from the US for work I was pleased. Very easy check in mid day, greeted by a friendly host receptionist. Once I arrived in my room, everything was clean and the decor was very contemporary. Some nice historical photos hanging of the Lightspeed building across the way. The bathrooms were clean with essential amenities. There were two bottles of water and I especially appreciate having the espresso machine in room. The rooftop has a nice pool a lookout if you’re in the middle to see what some of Montréal looks like from above. There’s a nice little pub downstairs that serves breakfast in the morning. Buffet or a la cart. They also serve a great negroni if you’re around for drinks in the afternoon. Getting around - it’s a 5-10min uber to some nice downtown eating locations and there’s definitely some nice places nearby, but didn’t get a chance to see or try. Traffic leaving the hotel to head back to the airport was a little congested, but I imagine it was like that most places in that area. Would rate 10/10

Nice Hotel on a Quiet Street

Stayed here for a weekend getaway. The hotel is a very close 5-10 min walk to Old Town and Old Port. However, It is situated on a very quiet street and is a bit isolated from other stores/restaurants. The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Staff was very nice and the rooftop pool looked beautiful.

Unwelcoming front desk

Check in was not smooth . Even though i pre payed they still wanted a charge on my CC. When i asked the front desk where this was written that a CC was required he told me the confirmation email , i gave him my phone and showed him the confirmation email . He could not find the "required" and pointed to the applicable fees may be possible. Again this does not say credit card required . Then he goes on to change his story that it was written when i booked on the hotels.com app putting the blame on htels.com. I had just gotten my CC stolen and was put in an odd situation where i was far from home and left embarrassed. The solution? 150$ charge on my debit instead of 75$ for credit . Was not a pleasing check in at all . Other than that the hotel was beautiful but i question the cleanliness as i found dog toys scattered across the room upon arrival... I dont have a dog with me . Rooftop pool was amazing , the included breakfast had limited selection, definitely went to get a real breakfast after the fact .

Winter trip to Montreal

This is a clean, very well-maintained property. The rooms have central air conditioning and are quiet. The heated swimming pool is exceptionally comfortable during cold weather. There is a good restaurant inside; however, many restaurants are nearby. Excellent location.

Nice building, but service was iffy

Beautiful building & room. Staff were okay but the server at the restaurant verbally insulted us “under his breath” not realizing we could hear him. Wasn’t the greatest start to our first night away in 3+ years. We ended up eating and drinking off site for the rest!

Below expectation

The hotel is new but some things are already broken, like the shower door handle and the toilet paper hanger. It seems to have been cheaply built. I was surprised that the floor is very dusty and dirty. They also charge $75 for one night stay of a pet, which is the highest I've seen at many hotels, while the service for pet is subpar. Other hotels usually provide bed, bowls and snacks for the dog, they had nothing. Lastly, parking is difficult to get to after checking in. Overall, mediocre experience.

Great place to stay!

Hyatt Centric Montreal had it all! My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day here and it was in a great location! The staff are professional and friendly, the hotel has a 24 hour gym, the food was delicious and fresh, and the view from the rooftop is to die for! There's even a heated pool outdoors on the rooftop! Our trip was cut short due to the weather, but I would highly recommend Hyatt Centric Montreal if you need a place to stay in the area. We had a wonderful stay!
