Usually great. Union strike causes noise pollution
Usually one of my favorite hotels in SF. Great location, service, etc. Unfortunately, due to ongoing labor strike with Local2, not only where they unable to provide room service/full service at their restaurant (minor inconveniences), but the Union was creating a disturbing amount of noise and disruption in front of the hotel, banging drums, using megaphones etc. from before 7 am. This noise pollution impacted my room. When resolved, Hotel will be back at the top.

Unfortunately I was in the hotel during the large SF convention of last week. The place was extremely crowded and, next to my room was a meeting room for participants of the convention. Hence a lot of nuisance and noise over the whole day, starting early in the morning. For non participants of the convention this nuisance is unacceptable given the price of USD 1500/day. Hotels.com should have warned prior to booking that during the convention a guest would be confronted by a lot of nuisance. Just in one word: Very nice hotel but terrible experience: total waste of money !
