It appears to be a new hotel, rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely. The bedroom did get hot at night as there is no aircon or fans. Small floor fans would have helped. My friends and I booked this hotel as it has a Hot tub which we wanted to enjoy in our last night in Antigua after a hard volcano hike. The new tub, did not heat up at all and was lukewarm. This was very disappointing as it was what we wanted most to enjoy.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We so enjoyed our stay. Everything went smoothly with booking through Expedia. They described the amenities well. There is no AC but they did provide a fan and the weather cooled at night, allowing for cooling through fresh air and open windows. The garden area was beautiful!! Walking distance from La Merced and Central Park. Would definitely recommend!
