8/10 Very good

No ac but I was given amd extra table fan. Banff is a very crowded place which allows for very high prices. This hotel was one of the least expensive but was still $275 a night. Temp. Cooled down at night, it was quiet, pretty clean. Old, needs up dating but then it would cost a lot more….

6/10 Good

The hotel is older and the rooms are dated, but we expected that from reading previous reviews. Biggest issue was not having AC, which made it a little uncomfortable to sleep.

Bow View Lodge Did Not Disappoint!
Was attending a wedding in Banff and chose to stay at the Bow View Lodge for a few reasons. First, it was extremely affordable. The location was unbelievable--you could walk to everything in downtown Banff. This is the only hotel that is on the Bow River and I chose to upgrade to the river view room. An extra surprise--the Banff marathon was taking place and the finish line was right by my room so it was very cool to sit on the terrace and watch everyone finishing up the race! I want to be totally transparent--the hotel is very old and people had noted that in the reviews I read prior to booking. If you are looking for glitz and glam hotel this is not for you. However, I can tell you the room was very clean, comfortable beds, nice linens. Room had everything you needed including small refrigerator and coffee maker. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. If you are planning on staying in Banff, you will see most hotels start at almost $500/night. This hotel is less than half of that. So if you have a budget and don't mind it being old this is the place for you. If I have the opportunity to go back to Banff I definitely would stay here again!

Staff was amazing and very helpful, the hotel was nice and close to the strip. The room was clean but small, the bathroom was well stocked and there was more then enough bathroom amenities. Parking however was limited and small.

Wonderful location , average hotel
The location cannot be better ! So close to everything in Banff without the high prices ! We found the bed and pillows too soft and the room is small . But as we were out all day , it didn’t matter too much !
