Quaint. It is nice, warm and charming. We would stay again if we return to London. Near (10 min. or less to the underground) that takes you to virtually all interesting sites. Only draw back is rooms are on the second floor and the steps are steep and narrow. No elevator.

Beautiful and luxurious. Staying in a pub is different than an hotel so people have to be aware of that, if they've never done it before. However this was simply gorgeous and a great staff.

When traveling, i am specifically looking for a boutique style hotel that feels like home away from home. I booked this hotel upon review of the amazing restaurant which has a rare garden on its property for an "outdoor experience". Upon arrival, i couldn't help but smile as i was warmly greeted, bags taken to my room, and milk for my tea all arranged within minutes. The charming staircase leading to a small number of beautifully decorated rooms all royaly named. The pub staff welcomed me like an old friend and offered me dinner at the bar as i was traveling alone for business. Food was fantastic and plentiful. I ordered an appetizer and salad the first night, monkfish the next...saving the most anticipated meal gnocchi for my last meal. As i tasted the first bite, i became instantly sad knowing each bite would eventually lead me to an empty bowl. Just delicious. The waiter persuaded me to order the warm doughnuts even though i was sure my button on my pants was about to pop....please don't miss out on this dessert. Divine. I stayed for three nights and watched the upper mangement team move around like choreographed dancers in the restaurant. Very professional and exceptionally personable. Hi Rosie! Such a sweetheart. I could not have had a better place to stay and will be returning as soon as i can. I really hate to post this as now you all know my secret place to stay and it might be booked the next time i return, however, a place like this should be shared. Enjoy!
