We had an excellent stay at the Kimpton Palomar. The perks like free coffee and bikes made the stay extra comfortable. Only drawback was that the pool was closed for renovations.

Wonderful hotel, location and staff. Upgraded room which is always nice. However, $26.39 + Tax Resort Fee per night on check out left a bad taste in mouth. Why not be upfront and put it on the original booking fee. This seems a little tricky.
