Receptionist was rude and with attitude
Did not have a good experience on the second day. After first night sleep, we requested to change our room as we couldn't sleep, because of the noise of the trams that are passing by until middle of the night. Instead of trying to help us, the receptionist VICTOR tried to push away the responsibilities by asking us to come back on the same day at 8pm to see if there's any available rooms. The check-in time for the day hasn't started yet, therefore our room can be given to another guest and at least tries to satisfy us. Instead, Victor argued with us and told us not to stress him. He told us that we should mention at the booking time that we don't want a room with noise. My boyfriend replied: how did we know that there are trams passing by the hotel. It's our 1st time in Prague. After arguments, Victor asked us to come back in 30min. We did and he managed to give us another room, in an older building but less noisy, so our stay turned out to be ok, but not fantastic. Why there were only 1 pillow for each guest? It was too low.

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and all spoke English. They let us check in early and provided suggestions for activities during out stay. The hotel had small touches like a delicious breakfast each morning and they provided complimentary water for the room each night. The rooms was clean each day and overall in great shape even with all the old world charm. Would entirely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good, clean, friendly hotel in a cool area of Prague.

Short break in Prague
Had a Monday to Friday stay 3 adults in 1 room. The room was spacious had tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge. The water pressure on the shower was great like a massage when turn on fully-plenty of hot water. The double bed mattress was comfortable the single not so. Staff very helpful. Breakfast the usual hams/cheeses/breads with cake, fruit & yogurt. Hotel Quite nicely situated around 10 mins walk from the start of the main area. Tram stops just around the corner & metro line 5 mins walk. We had a good night out at uPavouka the medieval tavern situated near the Old Town Square great food entertainment & unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. Went out to an Italian restaurant (can't remember name)and ordered a steak £15 beware all I got was a steak nothing else came with it ! they even charged for the smallest sachet of ketchup I have ever seen. We also went to The vytopna railway restaurant quirky as train carriages bring your drinks but again food pricey and poor. Make sure you have comfy shoes on as the city covers a vast area and the streets are cobble stones.

Great hotel in fantastic location
Great location walking distance to the City. Staff very friendly and upgraded us to superior room. The young lady who served us at the bar did not look very confident and did not automatically offer glass with bottled beer. Breakfast choice OK, however the yoke of boiled eggs was dark and looked so unappetising that could not be eaten.

Average Hotel
Our hotel room had basic accommodation, breakfast was quite basic and the kitchen staff could have perhaps been a little more cheerful (we were there 3 nights) but front desk staff polite and helpful. Room was clean and tidy but but adjoining walls quite thin as we could hear next door quite easily. No plug provided in the basin aswell. Water was nice and hot though. Hotel was a good 30min walk from the old town (no criticism of the hotel of course)

Fair 4.0
4 star hotel???
this seemed more like a 2-star hotel. The toilet was broken and part of the ceiling was ready to fall off. The room had a disgusting smell and the breakfast was much below the standards.

Poor 2.0
Theft From the Safe In Our Room
We had enjoyed it very much until the night before leaving, when we realized $300 and a coin purse was missing from the safe in our room. Police called (could not speak or understand English), but staff seemed to think it was impossible that someone could have gotten into safe and that we must have taken it out, which we definitely did not. Prague does not use U.S. currency and the money was for our return home.

Exceptional 10.0
Spacious room, very clean, with everything we needed. Toiletries, hairdryer, slippers. Noisy from the trams when windows open but just closed them & used air conditioning instead (still noisy but better than traffic!). Plenty choice for breakfast, again lovey & clean.
