    Poor 2.0
Dont get hurt because you wont get help
Was not a great hotel. The pictures are beautiful with blue water and nice sandy beaches and a pool. Most of the pool was closed when i was there due to remodel. No big deal. However when we went to the private beach the water was dirty and filled with trash. Not a pleasent swimming experience. My girlfriend and I were then stung by a jellfish. We tried to get assistance from the lifeguard but they were on lunch. Security called for help no one came. I went to the infermery onsite and they were closed. I was then escorted the staffs medic who was on lunch. We waited over an hour for help. This was a huge issue how do all emergency personel take lunch at the same time. Was very dissapointed in the stay.

It was alright. It did not look like we expected it. It’s old and found the parlor too dirty. The bathroom is very uncomfortable.

    Impressive Hotel & Good location
Had the King Beach View Balcony corner room and it's probably the best room for the money in the hotel. The balcony is extremely large, as large as the room itself with an expansive view of the ocean on both sides and the lake. Room itself is of decent size with good size tub. Front desk spoke good English with a lesser degree to all other areas of the hotel. The hotel has several shops inside though the prices are quite high and all of them close by 7 pm. The gym while clean & nice looking is not particularly impressive (as most hotel gyms are) consisting mostly of a few cardio machines and a small selection of dumbells that do not go up to a very high weight. No smith machine, bench, or curl bars. While you are only a 1 minute walk or so to many beaches the hotel appears to have no direct beach access requiring you to walk around. Unfortunately the beaches do not appear to be managed by the hotels and often end up covered in trash and have extremely aggressive vendors that will follow you across beaches or even acost you while in the water (both a jetski seller and a boat pulled up to try to sell me on their rentals). This isn't the hotels fault and is generally the same at all the nicer or more convenient beaches in Cartagena. Wifi was a bit slow at 3 MBps up & down. While the balcony was huge all the glass exteriors were covered in a decently thick layer of dust. Additionally they were not private. The balcony above could easily see the one below

    Poor 2.0
it was all a bad experience.
When we first arrived, the receptionist was not friendly and look very impatient dealing with us. Very snobby and arrogant may i add. He was checking us in when someone came and ask him to do stuff (another hotel guest) he stopped doing mine and do the other hotel guest problems. It was late and we were tired and the service is really slow and every other hotel will tell the other guest coming after us to wait for them to finished with the first guest. And then, the lobby.. I expected more from Hilton. I travel around the world and usually uses Hilton. Never have I encounter such bad service and cleanliness. It was dirty and seem not maintained well. The hotel room is no different from the lobby. There were hair all over the bathroom floor (not ours as we just entered the room) the bed is crooked. It was all a bad experience. i was very disappointed with this hilton experience. i hope someone stepped in and can manage the team to teach them like other hilton’s hotels

    Pretty Miserable for a Hilton
Well, the staff is what you’d expect from the Hilton name. Dining in the resort was lack-luster. In fact, walked out of the main restaurant in favor of bar food since the restaurant was in a state of seeming disrepair, and with breakfast buffet equipment left out during dinner hours. The pool deck was under extensive remodeling which wasn’t disclosed on the hotels.com site. It was, however, on the Hilton booking engine. A major part of the decision to book the room here was based on resort amenities (since there isn’t much else to do in Cartagena other than hang out at your hotel). Construction noises began early and ran late into the evening (like 8PM and beyond). As I mentioned, staff was as gracious as they could be. However, during such major construction, it seems like the property would adjust their rates accordingly. That’s not the case with this property, where we paid a premium, only to be welcomed by over half the pool decks closed, and the other half not usable due to the construction noise. Needless to say, won’t be back.
