This cozy, 4-bedroom, 2 bath home is located in a quiet, pleasant residential neighborhood in Colorado Springs, yet with some of the area’s most popular attractions practically in its backyard. It offers spectacular mountain views right from the living room window. Outdoor space behind the home provides several seating areas for different flavors of fresh-air entertainment, from lively family meals to quiet evenings around the firepit. It’s comfortable, convenient, and immaculately maintained.

The Space:
This adorable home has a hint of mid-century modern curb appeal. The driveway to the side of the house is large enough to accommodate several vehicles. Step between two curved stone retaining walls cradling tasteful landscaping and ascend a short flight of steps to the front door. Welcome! Step into the open concept main level and take a deep breath – you’re home (away from home)! Right away, you’ll be tempted to sink into the U-shaped, family-sized sofa with its plump pillows and snuggly throw blankets. Then your eyes will be drawn to the wide window positioned just above the sofa, offering a stunning view of the Rockies. There’s a TV for your streaming services in the corner for restful entertainment after a day of sightseeing or exploring the great outdoors.

Moving deeper into the space, you’ll find a homey, open eat-in kitchen with a dining table for four against a backdrop of coffee-colored cabinetry, granite countertops and a suite of full-size, stainless steel appliances for easy meal prep, including a refrigerator/freezer, range, and microwave. Also provided for your convenience are a coffee maker, cooking utensils, a stocked spice rack, and a full set of chef’s knives.

All four bedrooms in the home have been decorated in serene, light colors and tastefully furnished. On the main level, two bedrooms each provide a queen bed, dresser, and closet. One of these bedrooms features a doggie door to the gated dog run on the right side of the home. Also on this level, a three-piece bath includes a shower/tub combo with a glass door enclosure.
A lower level provides even more living space, allowing this home to comfortably accommodate groups of up to 8. Here you’ll find an additional two bedrooms and a second living area, including a sofa with a built-in chaise for stretching out and watching the wide-screen TV with your streaming apps. This is a great place for kids to entertain themselves with our various board games while the grown-ups enjoy their time together upstairs.

One lower-level bedroom provides a queen bed, dresser and closet. In the other, you’ll find a trundle daybed, providing sleep space for two. This room also includes a desk for working, gaming, or catching up on email. A bathroom with a shower stall also serves this level, as does a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and a dog kennel if you need it.

Behind the home, you’ll find the land climbing upward, unsurprisingly, on a gentle slope. At the highest point, a bench for two overlooks the Rocky Mountains – a perfect spot for serene, quality time alone or with a loved one. Just beyond our fence line is when you can catch a glimpse of local wildlife strolling by! Lower, you’ll find a cluster of seating around a fire pit, inviting you to gather and enjoy the mountain air even on crisp evenings. Just outside the home’s back door, you’ll find a patio with an elongated umbrella dining table encircled by chairs, just right for sharing meals outdoors.

Although the home doesn't have central AC we do provide a portable AC unit in the living room during the warmer months to keep the home cool. Our evenings are generally cool in the summer time, simply opening the windows will provide natural coolness.

Guest Access:
Guests can park 2-3 cars in the driveway or 1 on the street. Just be aware that we share street space with our neighbors! We will send you detailed instructions no less than 48 hours prior to your arrival after you complete our verification portal. You will have privacy and access to the entire house using your special code given upon booking. Front door has a Yale smart lock.

The Neighborhood:
The home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a lovely residential neighborhood of Colorado Springs, with some of the region’s most sought-after destinations practically in its backyard. In just 6 minutes, you can find yourself at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, where ancient, dramatic sandstone rock formations tower at 300 feet. Outdoors enthusiasts will find much to enjoy in the area, from hiking, hunting, fishing, ziplining, and more. Hikers can indulge themselves closest to home at Red Rock Canyon Open Space and Bear Creek Regional Park East, each just 7 minutes away. The can’t-miss attraction in the region is inarguably Pikes Peak, also known as “America’s Mountain,” reaching 14,115 feet into the Colorado sky and offering once-in-a-lifetime views.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (20 minutes), the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center (22 minutes), as well as gold mining tours, fossil hunting, theme parks and more.

For more urbane pleasures, Colorado Springs has much to offer, both day and night, including museums, parks, street festivals, art galleries, and award-winning shopping and dining. The Old Colorado City historic district is well-loved by both locals and visitors, and is just 5 minutes from home

Getting Around:
We recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

Last, it’s your vacation, so you probably don’t want a lot of RULES. So think of these more as our strong requests:

- NO SMOKING inside. This includes Colorado’s newest cash crop.
- We provide fresh sheets, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and essentials like shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc.
- Quiet Hours begin at 10:00pm per city ordinance. Please be courteous of the neighbors during your stay.
- Late check-outs (12pm) are available if there is no back-to-back booking, at $25 per hour.
- We cannot guarantee an early check-in, as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please check with us on the day of your arrival to see if the property will be ready early.

Non-Refundable Damage Deposit Waiver:
- Instead of charging a security deposit, Hoste charges a non-refundable $49 damage waiver fee that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions. Please see house rules or the rental property agreement when you book for more information about how the damage waiver works. Because the damage waver fee is Non-Refundable; If a Guest changes properties for any reason they may be charged a new damage waver fee for the new property at the discretion of the property Manager.

Please be advised that we ask all guests to complete our secure, online guest verification portal after your reservation is created. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity.
