Wonderful hotel in a stunning setting
Very unassuming and not sure what to expect with cars and rails close by, we were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Lavaux. Take on the extra cost and get the premium rooms on the 3rd floor, a very little difference in rate, as the hotel is tiered like the surrounding vineyards, little noise from roads, no view of road and you had to be on the patio to even notice the quiet Swiss Trains go by. The patio has glass half walls so you can see the quaint Lake Geneva ferries even from bed....the vineyards literally surround the hotel like an audience in a theatre, and the stage is stunning Lake Geneva while the back drop is the French Alps and the twinkling lights of towns just a few miles across (such as Evian)...walk to the ferry dock in Cully, walk to the Swiss rail stop 150m away from hotel, 20+ wineries with 10 minute drive, as is golf, Lausanne, Ouchy and Velvet, each with its shops, lakefront parks and attractions to visit. On site, free wifi/parking casual lounge/patio and dining room with a nice menu to enjoy. the staff was more than helpful with questions and made it even more enjoyable. Can Hardly wait to come back for the week and really relax.

Hotel Lavaux
Clean and modern hotel at the shores of Lake Geneva with stunning views. Our family stay was wonderful and we would return to this hotel anytime again.

Good location, nice hotel
Had a family room which was 2 connecting rooms so nice and spacious for the children and 2 bathrooms! Great location, only a couple of minutes walk to the train station so although we drove we ventured out by train 1 day to montreux (free if you get a Rivera card from reception). Nice walk into local village which had a play area along the lake. Not too much in the immediate area but was only 10 mins from vevey which had a selection of shops etc.

Very Good 8.0
Had a bit difficulty finding this place at night, as the address on points to the old place on 51 Vevey street. I was told by reception they moved to current place back in 2012. The hotel sign is on roof top so it is easily missed when driving at night. Other than that, everything else is pretty good.

In The Heart of Vineyards
Contemporary, comfortable and spacious room with balcony overlooking Lake Geneva. Very good sound insulation towards the road and railway line running parallel to the shoreline. Modern and functional bathroom with big shower. Big comfortable bed. Excellent Italian restaurant. Very friendly staff. The only comfort-related issue I found relates to the acoustic vibrations present from the ventilation and air extraction system.

Dangerous Tripping Hazards
As I walked toward the entry of the Hotel Lavaux, I tripped on the very uneven, unmarked change of grade on the outside deck area. I suffered a serious fall and injured my left hip/femur and left arm and elbow. This was most disturbing! A full two (2) weeks later, I continue to have pain in the hip area, and will have an x-ray performed this week, for I fear at least a hairline fracture in the left femur. This incident was also disturbing because I had a total right hip replacement surgery on April 1st, 2019. It is extremely serious for one to injure said new hip. I recommend strongly that this dangerous tripping hazard be addressed as soon as possible, so that no other guest suffers a similar fall.

Clean, modern, simple
The hotel is new and modern. The rooms are simple but nice. You’re literally on the wine trail, which is great! The area is stunning and the views are amazing. However, there are not too many restaurants in the area near the hotel. It’s definitely a sleepy town, but you’re a quick train ride to Lausanne. If you’re planning to walk the wine trail and visit some vineyards (hopefully some are open for tastings), this is a good option for a night.

Delightful visit to the Swiss Riviera!
We stayed one night on the 3rd floor in a Superior room with a large open balcony and one night in a first floor standard room, which was equally modern, spotlessly clean and with every facility, but the balcony was smaller with an overhanging roof and being on the first floor, there was noise from the street. The third floor was quiet and secluded. Breakfast was excellent. The view of the lake was amazing! The hotel is extremely well situated and they give you a free travel pass. The train station is almost opposite the hotel, so we left the car, took the train and after a short journey arrived in Lausanne to spend a delightful day sightseeing. In the opposite direction the train goes to Vevey, where Chaplin's World on the outskirts is well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel
We absolutely loved the location of this hotel as it was close to the lake where you could do some lakeside swimming. Our rooms were interconnecting, which we thought was great as our son got his own room! We were at the back of the property and although we didn't have the views we had privacy as we were looking onto the walls of the vineyards. Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely go back!
