For one night it sufficed, but this place NEEDS an overhaul. The hallways smell like vomit and the room smelled like pinesol concentrate to cover the vomit smell - to the point where your nostrils stung. The “clean” sheets on the bed had hair made into the bed like they weren’t changed. The bathroom had significant wood rot on all the baseboards. Everything is just old, beat up and dated. The locked stairwell doors are left propped open with rocks at night. Would not stay here again.

Greed over safety
The hitel is very dated. Getting pretty run down. Mold and algae everywhere. No wash cloths. Booked it for an event that weekend that got cancelled do to hurricane. They would not refund us our nearly $500 for 2 nights. So we were not about to lose our weekend and drove down. Endangering ourselves driving through torrential down pours. The first night stay was priced through the roof due to the event that was canceled. Most hotels in the area gave refunds because that was just the right thing to do. The owner Rocky is mega wealthy and took advantage of us and others. Some of us have to try n save for these things so can not just say oh well. Could not afford to go somewhere else. Only had these days off work so hoped for the best. It was a windy rainy two days. Pretty much just spent two days hanging out at the hotel.

Great location and friendly staff.
We enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location. Each front desk person that we talked to was friendly and helpful. Our only slight concern was that the room was not serviced at all while we were there Monday night through Friday morning. It would have been nicer if the coffee was restocked and the trash taken during our stay.
