Everything about the property and staff was positive other than the hotel policy. If any change needs to be made to the booking, it has to be done 48 hours before check in. I found out after check in that my stay needed to be amended to depart a day early. I ended up having to pay for the final night regardless for all 4 rooms that were booked. I have been staying in various hotels throughout Europe and Asia for the last 4 months and this is the first hotel that I’ve had this problem with.

Huge facility with great amenities. We went in May though and the hotel stores were closed. Eating or drinking at the resort is expensive! If you have a car I’d suggest eating outside of the hotel as it’s much cheaper. Our hotel bed sheets had stains on them when we checked in. I had to ask for new ones and they stunk like someone else not like clean sheets. I was extremely put off by this. Loved the pool and how they have indoor outdoor pools in case weather is bad. Overall I’d give it a 4/5.

Had a wonderful time at Le Meridien Lav. Location was great! Watching the beautiful Split sunset from our room balcony was a delight to see (I have the photos to prove it 😜). The staff and room service were great. Overall a good value for money!

We stayed 3 nights booking garden view room for first night and superior seaview room for 2nd and 3rd nights. At check in we were given seaview room for all 3 nights but not told we got classic seaview room. We are certain we booked superior seaview room for 2nd and 3rd nights because we wanted two twin beds not one king bed in the classic seaview room. Front desk dismissed our complaint that our 2nd and 3rd nights stay was downgraded from superior to classic seaview insisting our reservation did not indicate superior seaview room. Neither did it indicate classic seaview room while first night booking clearly indicated garden view room. Accommodation and service were mediocre. Hallway and room carpets worn-out and very soiled. Furniture outdated, tiny closets about 2 feet wide with 4 hangers. Concrete front of balcony obstructs sea view when sitting. Beach staff was attentive. Front desk staff negligent. Took 3 calls to request someone check room air-conditioning only to be told no technician available leaving us to spend a very warm night. Meridien accommodation and service paled in comparison to Hotel Luxe in Split and Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb where we also stayed. Staff there went out of their way to give us pleasant stay. Staff at Esplanade showed they were happy to accommodate our request for street-side room taking us to the room to make sure we liked it and insisting their staff take our luggage. The room, furniture and decor at both hotels showed classy luxury.

Stayed here 2 nights in April on business. Hotel is clean and well organized. Rooms are good with nice bathrooms and balconies. Housekeeping did a good job and the front desk staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Spa and pool area are nice, modern and clean. Fitness facility has great views, but small and not a great selection of equipment. Hotel was not busy during my stay, but only have 2 cycles, 2 treadmills and 2 elipticals plus weights so I can see this being too busy when hotel is full.Nice beach area and grounds are well kept including tennis courts. A bit of a drive to the center of town - maybe 10 minutes, but wasn't an issue for me and free parking is a nice perk. Would certainly recommned this hotel for business or pleasure and will stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. Beautiful facilities - everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Pool, beach, gym, spa all fantastic. Great selection of restaurants within the hotel: we tried all 4 for dinner and had a good experience each time. Only cons were that, firstly, we found the front desk/concierge staff were not as friendly/welcoming as the staff in all other areas of the hotel. On a couple of occasions we got the feeling they didn't particularly want to help us and just wanted to be done with us asap. Secondly, this is a family hotel and so there were a lot of small children around. Not a massive issue but just something to be aware of as you will sometimes encounter hyper/upset kids while trying to relax!
