Gross and unkept
The first room was wide open when we got to it, it was dirty. The hotel was under construction and the pool and hot tub are literally falling apart. (There is moss growing inbetween the tiles of the indoor hot tub as well as on the windows surrounding it). The second room we were put in had incense stuck in the light switch behind the door and the windows hadn’t been cleaned off. There were fingerprints everywhere. The beach access was under construction. Once again nothing stated this anywhere. Not to mention the multiple people that literally just live in this hotel. This hotel isn’t anything it states it is.

Disappointed
I’ve stayed here several times and loved it! This time was horrible! I had no idea construction was going on in the hotel! The room had a horrible smell to it when I first got there! That doesn’t top the cake! I went to get my bottle water out of the refrigerator and it was a ROACH in there! (I TOOK A PICTURE!). I’m so disappointed because this is the only hotel that I loved staying at ocean front. I won’t be returning.

Go somewhere else!
Very disappointing. Construction during the holidays was not good. Lobby was totally under construction . Getting on and off the single working evevator involved navigating around scaffolding. Paper taped to the common area floors was a constant trip hazard. Construction workers moved their vehicles into every empty parking space as soon as someone left during the day and also parked in fire lanes. Tgis left your paying customers navigating a tight parking lot and walking across the main street to the remote parking lot. And you charged everyone an extra $10 per day to park. Rooms are in bad need of upgrade. Wallpaper peeling and black mold around door. Bathroom has multiple layers of caulk and bugs. No service unless we asked the maid directly and then just towel exchange. There was no breakfast at all. We have stayedhete for several years over the holidays but will be going elsewhere in the future.

“Winter Renovations” lol
I booked this hotel for a business trip I was talking to VA Beach. We were definitely informed that they were doing winter renovations, but we were also told that just meant the pool had limited hours. That’s fine - we stay in hotels doing reno all the time. The “limited pool hours” are 10am-4pm and to access the pool you need to go outside through the parking lot. In the winter. At the beach. (Yes, it’s freezing when you’re wet). The room itself was very nice - we had a nice ocean view, a lovely balcony, and a small kitchen. What wasn’t lovely was construction with power tools directly above the bedroom at 8am on both mornings. It was almost like they intentionally dropped everything they had, repeatedly. The upper floor construction also drove roaches down into our room, where they took over the leftover food in the fridge. Fun! I tried to get to the front desk because they cancelled the room charge on our business card and used my personal account instead, and between the plastic sheeting, wet cement, and crew taking over the one running elevator it was nearly impossible to get there. The one time I did manage to traverse the abyss, the line was long and the staff looked beyond frazzled. I’m sure this is a lovely hotel in the summer sans construction, but I wouldn’t go back at the summer rate. It’s a great location, on the boardwalk, within walking distance to food and fun - just don’t expect to sleep past 8, get to the pool, or keep anything edible in your room right now.
