Amazing Stay Overlooking the Amalfi Coast At check-in we were upgraded to balcony room with an amazing view. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was superb and the Sita bus stop right out the hotel. Fantastic breakfast with an excellent selection! The day of our departure, a staff member drove us with our luggage into town to catch SITA bus to Salerno at no charge. Will definitely come back and stay at Bellevue Rae - Canada
Friendly staff. Somewhat dated property with ants in the room and very unreliable wifi signal. Location is good (3 min drive to Amalfi when there is no traffic).
Hotel was great! I do believe it’s closer to a 4-star rating then 3 star. Check in was quick, only thing I didn’t like was you were not allowed to leave with the key and had to keep giving it back to main desk every time you left the property. Other than that fresh towels everyday, clean rooms and clean hotel.
The property is clean and looks really pretty from the street, flowers everywhere, however, it's quite a walk from the center of town which can be tiring after a day of treking around. The rooms are a good size, it would be nice if the tv signal was consistent, it cuts out often and if there were a few English channels. The breakfast and service were excellent.
Location and view from our balcony was great. Perhaps a little too far out of Amalfi for walking convenience, especially at night. Hotel arranged to provide transportation to and from selected local restaurants, which was a big benefit when it rained. Breakfast food was cold but freshly prepared and with plenty of choice. Served dishes (meat, cheese and fruit) basically the same every day.
Cute hotel a little outside of town. My boyfriend and I just spent six nights here as a home base for exploring the coast. The walk into Amalfi was about 15 - 20 minutes, but was welcome exercise after dinner. The road seems dangerous but we had no issues - you watch out for drivers and they also watch out for you. We took the SITA bus in from Sorrento and there was a stop basically in front of the hotel in that direction and one a few minutes walking down the street going the other direction. This made using the SITA bus as transportation very convenient. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel the first couple days, and we were kicking ourselves for that once we finally tried it. For 5 Euros it is a decent spread and definitely good value for the price (for example, one morning we went to Positano and just a coffee was 5 Euros). The hotel furnishings are a touch dated but it was extremely clean which is more important to me. One night I slept with make up on (too much Prosecco) which got on the sheets, and the next night I discovered the sheets had been changed. This demonstrates their thorough processes and attention to detail which is comforting to me. The staff was quite nice and friendly. There is no pool here, but there is a nice top floor deck that is open until 8pm. There is also a beach down the street (in the opposite direction from Amalfi, walking towards Praiano). You have to walk down “400 stairs” but the beach is quite nice and good for swimming.
If you are driving to the Amalfi you will need patience and a lot of nerves. Parking is difficult and the Bellevue takes care if that with private parking up front. Rooms are comfortable and staff is friendly. Fantastic view of the ocean if you have a balcony room. Only issue is we informed the hotel prior to arrival that we had 4 persons staying in the room. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. At that time they said we would need to speak to the hotel manager when we arrived. They were very accommodating by giving us 2 rooms instead however we were on different floors. The reason was fire safety which didn’t make sense. May be a license issue in Italy? The kids were going to share the pullout couch as they had all trip in certain cases. Regardless they took care of us. The owner, older fellow helped us with a nice wine to enjoy in the lounge and the manager helped us with restaurant recommendations for dinner in town. Walking into town is easy as it is downhill. Take a cab home especially at night as it is uphill and safer with the crazy drivers and vespa scooters. I would recommend this hotel if you are going to the coast. Just be careful driving!
Amazing. Rooms were great and inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area.
The staff were so helpful and so friendly. I booked towards the end of restrictions, so I was the only one staying. They gave me an amazing room overlooking the beautiful sea. I was offered drinks on arrival and upon checkout. I felt so looked after. Already recommended this place to my friends, who have now booked. Beautiful hotel, beautiful scenery, great location.
Everything was fine, and the owner gave me a gift, seaview :) Thank you!
