Great location and attentive staff
We really enjoyed our stay at SO Paris. Excellent central location, easy access to Metro and walkable to major landmarks including Bastille and Pantheon! The hotel is brand new / renovated recently (2022) The room was spacious and had a lovely view towards the Bastille and surrounding historic buildings. Only nit is that the toilet is tiny and there's no towel rod in there. However the bathroom is nice and luxurious. Staff was caring and attentive. Our concierge helped get us reservations at restaurants nearby and also gave great recommendations for where to go / restaurants that were vegetarian friendly. We especially loved the boulangerie downstairs (They're not associated with the hotel, but their croissants were the best!) I think the hotel can do a few things better to earn a 5* review though: Breakfast options: While the view from the upstrairs restaurant is amazing, the breakfast options were not as great as we expected. The pastries and croissants in the buffet did not meet the bar we were expecting from a well known French brand like SO Paris. Nothing remarkable about the omelet and crepes as well. The corner boulangerie had some excellent pastries that we ended up going for everyday instead.

Not so great. I paid for a view room. At check in given a non-view room. I complained about it they told me the view room was just a title for a room??? What? They did move us to another room. Which had a little view. No mention of an upgrade or anything. So not happy with room. Hotel was new and nice. Restaurant and Bar very nice. The one saving grace was the considerers Julie. She helped us book things. Some of which didn't work out so great. But she tried. After our departure, my girlfriend was missing a very expensive necklace. I called 4 times leaving messages. No return calls. Finally, I got hold of someone and they told me to send an E mail. I did. Got response 1 day later. Stating they spoke to house cleaning, and they said they didn't find necklace. So too bad. We feel it was taken off the nightstand. But can't prove it. So, all in all, not too happy with our stay .............

The hotel was at an excellent location, chic decor, spotless and had great staff. The few quirks -- its low ceiling, but one side of the room is a very large window and made the room airy (try to get the river view -- fantastic!) and the sink area (close to bed) is not enclosed, so that you might be disturbed by your mate using it if you wake up at different times.

This property was everything that I imagined it to be and more. The staff did an amazing job making sure that the experience was welcoming and spectacular. The restaurant is excellent. The spa is top notch. The hotel is modern and has a great ambiance. I highly recommend this property.
